Ace Ventura 3 Sans Jim Carey And Common Sense

“Allrighty-then. After his African adventure in “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls,” Ace returned to Florida, married girlfriend Melissa (Ann Cusack) and became the doting father of a baby boy. Never one to sit still, Ace’s curious nature took him on another remote case. The goofball gumshoe was never to be seen or heard from again.
Single mom Melissa couldn’t fully put the past behind her. Now a zookeeper, she and Ace Jr. (Flitter) have made a life carrying on without her husband. Much to Melissa’s chagrin, however, 12-year-old Ace Jr. has begun to follow in his father’s comic footsteps. He has recently become a pet detective for the 7th grade set, often trying to recover classmates’ missing pets, and always with big mishaps.
But when a master animal thief abducts a baby panda and his mom is wrongly arrested of the crime, Ace Jr. must jump into action. Now, with the help of pals Laura and tech wizard A-Plus, young Ace must bring the thief to justice and do his inane and lovable dad’s memory justice.”
This is so outlandish I don’t even know where to begin. It appears our story picks up after Ace Ventura bails on his kid, and the delusional bastard takes up the family business? This sounds like an episode of Maury Povitch.
They do a Dumb And Dumber sequel without Jim Carey, and now Ace Ventura 3 is being done without him. I think he may be on his way to setting a record for sequels that he should be in; but isn’t.
I think Jim Carey left when he saw the little fat kid in the hawaiian shirt and thought there is no way this kid is mine. And that slut will have to find me if she wants to try and get child support!
I think the title of this movie should be called Ace Ventura 3: Dead Beat Dad
Don’t forget the other sans Carrey sequel that flopped, Son of the Mask.

You know what annoys me the most?
When they have the kids in movies like this dress EXACTLY like the parent. Where the hell would the kid find an outfit to match his dad’s exactly? If my dad bailed on me, I wouldn’t be walking around emulating the motherfucker. It’s a minor nitpick in the grand scheme of things, but come on. That pic is fucking ridiculous.
And by should, you of course mean shouldn’t… He is choosing wisely in not taking on these roles anymore. kudos to Jim.
He also stayed away from The Mask 2.
Next should be earth girls are easy 2.

Not again… Why tarnish the name of ANOTHER great comedy series of the nineties with a shitty-ass sequel… Ace Ventura: when Nature Calls is still one of my favorite comedies, and now they’re turning the character into a scumbag and replacing him with some little doofus more suitable for the role of Chunk Jr. in some Goonies sequel.

I’m in the film. I play one of Ace Jr’s Neighbors. It was an interesting shoot to be a part of. That’s all I can really say. It was odd.
But to me, it was cool to be part of a series that I watched when I was a kid. I mean, yeah, there’s no Jim Carrey, but would he really do this now anyway? NO is the answer to that. So this is just fun.
Yes I’m sure it’s going straight to DVD. No Doubt. But all the people that are my age that watched the first two films when they were kids will buy this for their kids. It’s the cycle.

I completely agree. Lets look at this for a second.
First you have a sequel to Dumb and Dumber, then The Mask (one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen), then Bruce Almighty, and now this crap.
OK, I’m sure we can all agree that this is a bad idea, but why doesn’t Hollywood. I mean lets look at the numbers for the over sequels

Now, even a child nows that Hollywood will do a movie for money. Way before they do it because it is a movie that most be made. But, if they would take the time to look at these numbers, before they agree to these ideas. Then maybe they would think twice.

The premise says he just was never heard from again. Maybe he got eatten by a python, or abducted by a tribe of ninja pigmies and forced to serve as their king.
If Carrey had a sense of humour about this at all he would volunteer a day of his time to film a scene to cap the movie where his father returns with a Rip Van Winkle beard just released from the Hospital of Bosnia after coming out of a coma.
No Jim Carrey wtf ?!?! instead of being busy doing stupid movies like the number 23 come here and start doing some real movies like ace ventura please and dont bother showing us the movie if carrey isnt in it. Especially with that meat ball
I actually think Evan Almighty was a great movie… but the other ones you listed really sucked. And I have a feeling that this one will too unfortunately.
