Christopher Guest Joins Night at the Museum 2

Cguest
It looks like improv black belt Christopher Guest will be joining the ever growing and impressive ensemble for Night at the Museum 2. We get the news from our friends at Latino Review:

The Trades reported that Christopher Guest is joining Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams and Rocky Gervais in the Night at the Museum sequel currently shooting in Vancouver.

Guest will play Ivan the Terrible and join actors Bill Hader (as Custer), Jon Bernthal (Al Capone) and French actor Alain Chabat (Napolean). Reno 911 veterans Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, writers of both Museum films, will be making an appearance as the Wright Brothers.

Having Guest play Ivan the terrible should make for some funny moments. With luck we will get to see him play off of Robin Williams. It would be quite a treat to see these talented word smiths riff off of one another. I wasn’t pumped to see this project – but with a cast like this, I may have no choice.

I love Guest in a myriad of films, but my favorite is probably Spinal Tap, followed closely by Best In Show (see above).
