@ CMC - I would have ditched any panel to support Troma.

I grew up watching their films, loved them and am thankful that I now get to cover events like this and share the news with kindred spirits.

I also got to see a clip of the Toxic Avenger in Iraq, I doubt any other panel would have had shit this cool.

There is a huge amount of people working in the movie-making business who owe a lot if not their entire carreer to Lloyd Kaufman. Some went further and find themselves too important to ever mention that, some make very well and keep loyal (James Gunn for instance). Many multi-million-dollar films would never have been made if it wasn't for Troma in one way or another, and influential directors like Peter Jackson and Quentin Tarantino acknowlegde the influence Lloyd and Troma have had on them.
It is a shame that bigger audiences don't take the time to appreciate the imprtant and impressive body of work this man is responsible for, and this situation is not helped by the fact that supposedly respectable newspapers print bad reviews about Troma's movies obviously without even having taken the trouble to see them (clink my name for the website where much is revealed), just to service some big conglomerates who don't care about the ART of moviemaking as Lloyd Kaufman does, but only go for the fast bucks.

Apart from that I am happy to see mentioned above here that Mr. Kaufman is not only a great artist, a great influence on other artists, but also a very decent and loyal person, a rare commodity in today's business-ruled world.

Llyod and Troma are great. Not only is he just a super decent person but he really does want people to make films that THEY want to see.

He has been a huge supporter of the film I am in called "For Christ's Sake". Not only is he in it, but I know that he is interested in the film to come out on the TROMA lable. That would help an Indie like ours get play in the world market that we other wise would not get.

I respect Troma and Lloyd for all the hard work they do. I'm proud to know him and be affilated with the company in even just a small way.

check out a pic of Lloyd & I from MegaCon in Orlando:
