ComicCon Reveals Punisher War Zone Poster
I’ve never been a Punisher fan, but I have to say that if someone came knocking at my door intent on avenging the deaths of his wife and child, I expect he wouldn’t have to say much if he looked like this.
The poster was revealed this past weekend at the SanDeigo ComicCon. Visit SuperheroHype for an enbiggened version.
Five pistols seems a bit over the top. The Punisher might have two handguns, that’s it.
But I’m just bitter at the actor choice.
Bitter over the choice of actor. He was awesome in Rome.
Not to excited over the film or the poster.
cool poster it has that hand drawn feel of the garth ennis books (musy read)….im not sure about this flick tho…the action looks like a wannabe wanted and not the punisher…i might give it a shot tho
sry but the trailer just looks like crap. the movie looks like something van damme should be in.
He’s coming after someone who killed his family and he’s kevlar’d up like that? Damn!
That just looks like a bad photoshop to me, definitely appears to me as if it was rushed. I’m no expert but the highlights from the lighting on his weapons don’t match the overall poster lighting/feeling. Just feels really campy to me

it does seem a bit low budget… especially the look of the guns – reminds me of the endless hours of CounterStrike in my student days

It looks more like a video game poster.
Scratch that. Video game posters are much better made than that nowadays. But I’m keen too see how Stevenson does in this movie..This could make or break him.
Counterstrike IS based on real guns, so to say his weaponry looks like counterstrike is more of a compliment than saying “low budget”

Punisher always had ALL the guns at his avail.
the comic con footage was pretty awesome and restored my hope in this movie. Over-the-top blood and guts. Looks like a fun time.
I love the look of the new outfit. Much more “realistic” than just a black T-shirt.
Looks a lot like the style of Tim Bradstreet, kind of digitally painted/ photomontage.
Im so catching this is seems like mindless action and fun…and after the greatness that was Dark Knight imma need a little escape

I’ve only read the Punisher Essential Volume 1, which is a collection of The Punisher’s first appearances I guess. And I’ve seen him pop up, like in Civil War. But he never actually had many guns on his person – he had a van or something when he was on the job.

Fuck the female audience. That’s what ruined the first film. Punisher is blood, guts, torture and pain. Not romance and kindness.

The whole point of the punisher is that he always has enough guns.
If the job calls for two pistols, thats what he brings. Job calls for demolitions, 3 grenades, a sniper rifle, a rocket launcher and bubblegum. He has that too.
Yes, he keeps what he isnt using in a van or his armoury, but he is never short of guns.
well they changed his costume for the movie as well. Never seen him in full riot gear before. Looks kewl.

One of favorite Punisher stories is when a dude sends the news a videotape of him going to the Punisher’s family gravesite, digging up the caskets, opening them and pissing on their bones.
Punisher sees the news story while he’s at a bar and everyone is looking at the TV with the same expression. Except the Punisher. He is ultra pissed. Great idea for a sequel, not this retelling of the origin crap, where they add a corny Punisher villian.
