Terminator Salvation Poster
The studios have released the first Terminator Salvation Poster, and I’ve got to say, for a teaser poster it’s pretty bad ass.
I’ve got a lot of conflicting feelings about Terminator Salvation. On the positive side, it’s the Terminator baby! Christian Bale is the lead in it, this poster is great and the teaser trailer looked pretty damn sweet too.
HOWEVER…
Mc Fucking G is directing it. Uggg… this could go either way.
I’m with you, John. Christian Bale is so badass that the cops get called when he YELLS at somebody, and this poster is nice.
But McG is directing it.
From what I heard, McG seemed to actually make some believers at Comic Con. Alot of people seemed to have some confidence in his direction of the flick.
Does that mean anything? Well, no.
But, then again, what has McG done in this territory of Sci-Fi action?
I mean, before the Lord of the Rings trilogy, what had Peter Jackson done in the realm of fantasy?
And now he’s the golden boy of genre.
So I’m going to give him a shot.
Even though this teaser poster is, in my opinion, weak.
So far i have liked what i see, and the first Charlies Angels movie was not a bad movie. He is also one of the executive producers on Supernatural whatever that means. Poster is kinda standard teaser-poster, Nothing special
This will be cooler than transformers 2 simply because transformers 2 has crap actors and huge robots are kinda boring.
Surprisingly poor poster I must say.
Joseph, Jackson may not have directed anything in the fantasy genre before but he had not directed anything even one tenth as bad as Charlies Angels Full Throttle either.
Bale hasn’t made many bad career choices, everything from American Pyscho to Equilibrium to The Mechanic, all have been fantastic. Lets hope the streak continues.
I have seen a lot of movies with Bale and the only one i didn’t like was Shaft. That’s kinda why i beleive in this movie

When I first saw McG’s name attached to this film I was as concerned as anybody else. I later found out that he directed We Are Marshall’s, a movie a really enjoyed. Lets hope Charlie’s Angel is to McG what Piranha 2 is to James Cameron.

Man are u ok? u dont have fever or anything?? Did u have your eyes open when u were watching TRANSFORMERS??? Shia is great, John Torturro was awesome and Jon Voit too. And ILM did the best VISUAL FX i have ever seen…. the movie was a VISUAL ORGASM so what is wrong with u?
Maybe Terminator Salvation is going to rock but not more than Transformers 2 never ever…….

I’m going to throw caution to the wind and openly say that I am really looking forwards to this movie. I just don’t see how it could be any worse than T3, I know I keep saying it, but that movie was a bag of w*nk.
I’m keeping everything crossed.

The poster folk sure worked overtime to pull this one out of their creative ass’s.
Oh look a bullet hole between the eyes,,,, and the eyes still glow,, does this mean the T-600’s have small brains or that the fans do ? I’m confused and terrified at the horrific image of the endo skull’s metal smile ,,, Yaaawwnn!!! Burp !!

I don’t think McG is bad at all. “Charlie’s Angels” was meant to be incredibly corny and cheesy, and he pulled it off with hilarious results. I don’t get how anyone would expect something based on JiggleTV to be anymore serious than that.
I think he deserves the benefit of a doubt here. The internet’s always trashing this guy – I want to see him prove everyone wrong.
you know, I don’t think the poster is supposed to be anything new in terms of concept. It’s almost paying homage to what the focal point of T1 and T2 were about. (I’m not saying it’s an amazing poster either though.)
I see no smile….where is the smile?! I think the jawline is tricking you into thinking there is a smile on that pretty face ;)

I think everyone should stop with all the McG hate until this thing comes out. Let’s give the guy a chance. I, for one, am very optimistic about this movie. Having Christian Bale attached really changed my opinion about it.
McG is a totally ridiculous name though and it doesn’t help his cause any.
McG knows perfectly well that there are tons of people who hate him for some reason (mostly the name irritates them) so I’m pretty sure that he’s out to prove them wrong.
I’m also pretty sure he’s aware that the style he’s most known for does not fit a film like this.
It’s also very strange that people actually think that he would make a Terminator film like a cotton candy action film like Charlie’s Angels.
Silly people.
Who did T3? It was decent. Bring them back. I like McG, but I hope he doesnt overdo the action with T4.

T3 was crap, except for a few bits.
I’m amazed how many people hate McG, considering that he only made 3 movies. The first Charlie’s Angels was fun and exactly what it was supposed to be – what exactly were you expecting? The second one was indeed crap, nothing to argue about. And I haven’t seen We are Marshall, but it seems a decent flick based on the imdb rating (7.2) and the opinions I’ve read. Also, as a producer, basically everything he touches becomes a hit – Fastlane, The OC, Supernatural, Chuck. There are far worse people out there than McG (Boll? Anderson? Ratner?). So, haters, chill out. Get a life.
Also, the guy seems to know how to choose good people to work with. He placed Bale in the lead role. The script is written by Jonathan Nolan, the amazing writer who wrote Memento, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. So even if the direction won’t be the best, expect the movie to have a solid script and good performances. What more could you ask for? Give the guy a break.
I have seen people dis the poster but let’s disect it a little more. The endo pictured is a previous model to the T-800 chrome models we are used to seeing. This model looks to be made out of iron or metal composite. This model is probably the one Kyle Reese decribes as the T-600 with rubber skin. Take a good look at the eyes. The eyes have a heated filament in the that looks like a DNA helix. The film is, as someone decribed, a re-boot of the terminator franchise. Expect to see more than just the endos. If you do not follow the terminator universe, Skynet has more robots than just the endos, HK’s, and Tanks. This film will introduce new robots Cameron designed but never put in his film.
I understand if you felt T3 was a discrace to the franchise. BUT DO NOT JUDGE THIS FILM BASED OFF OF T3. Remember the Batman franchise went in the toilet and Batman Begins gave it a much needed tranfusion.
I expect Terminator Salvation to do the same thing.
