For those of you saying you haven't read the Goon - WTF are you waiting for!?! READ IT!!! - one of the greatest comics ever. Not only hilarious, but filled with cultural references, great writing, and fully-fleshed characters (well except for the zombies!). I think CG is a great choice and with Fincher on board and Powell writing the script it will be AMAZING! Knife to the eye!!!

This is the best news I have ever read in my life. This is my favorite comic book. I have the entire run and cannot live without it. Fincher AS WELL! I fucking nearly destroyed my roommates face by my screams of joy. I would have preferred 2D, but I absolutely cannot argue as long as their is a film. !!!

I nearly peed myself reading this. I absolutely love the Goon. It takes place in a city partially controlled by Zombies. The Goon is the only person who the Zombies fear, so he keeps a tight "mob-rule" over his part of town and keeps the people safe.

That's a quick premise, the Goon is tough and will kick Zombie ass in this movie, his sidekick Frankie will undoubtedly provide some great comic moments, there will be large, talking spiders, sexy ladies, and it will also be dark and gritty with Goon's backstory (no spoilers here).

I was actually fantasizing about a Goon movie last night, so this is a pretty amazing surprise today! After Hellboy was released and with Hellboy II coming up fast, I am not surprised to have Dark Horse exploring their options.

The Goon is hilarious. As long as they maintain the humor from the comic we'll be fine.

" it’s no surprise to me that Dark Horse and other companies will follow"

The first look deal with DH and Universal had been on since 1997.

I haven't read "The Goon" but I am familiar with Eric Powell's art, and all the wonderful work that Blur Studios has done (they do A LOT of cut scenes for video games). This is a perfect match! Blur Studios will be able to bring the action and the power of the Goon to life.

I would also like to remind you that Dark Horse is hardly new to comic book movies though. They had one of the very first ones with "The Mask". They are also responsible for "Hellboy", "Sin City", and "300". Sorry, don't mean to nit-pick, but I am a hard-core comics fan-boy.

thanks; and keep up the good work.
