The Movie Blog Uncut – THE MOVIE

By John - July 15, 2008 - 10:21 America/Montreal

Long time Movie Blog reader Phil Gee sent me this video this morning and I’m just amazed at the job he did. Looks like he’s producing a “The Movie Blog – THE MOVIE” and he’s just released his trailer.

Seriously, if you love or hate the podcast, you’ll be amazed at the job Phil does on this little video.

    Dude, those would be the perfect castings for those three. Seeing Mel Gibson as Doug would be more glorious than Optimus Prime going at Megatron with a spear!

    And I laughed my ass off at the end of the trailer when the Disney Logo comes up and Doug says, “On an unrelated topic, cock is delicious!”

    Phil Gee thanks so much for giving us this!

  33. ashdcuk says:

    Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time! Spielberg, Scorsese, Kubrick…we have a new name to add to that list, and that name is Gee

  34. Phil Gee says:

    Boo, what a waste of five minutes. This guy is a hack; boo.

  35. Phil Gee says:

    But in all seriousness, thank you so much everyone for the kind comments. It’s really made the effort worthwhile as it did take about a month to make the trailer and it got to the point where i’d seen it so many times that i couldn’t tell if it was good or not.

    I will say though, that it is, of course, the witty banter of John, Doug & Darren that makes the trailer funny. All i did was put those voices in other people’s bodies (though it was spooky how well Doug synched up with Mel). So please thank them for the entertainment.

    @Ashdcuk

    Well actually, the director of the film was going to be revealed at the end to be Tim Burton, and then John would say something unflattering about the very idea. I just couldn’t get that gag to really work so i cut it out.

    @Bruce

    The first part of John’s narration is from an episode of the podcast from 2006 where the gang talked about the MPAA’s teaming up with the Boy Scouts of America to introduce an “I fight movie piracy” badge for all the little kids.

    @Everyone else

    I hope you’re not really expecting a sequel. Just making this one has aged me horribly. I’m 25 in two weeks but i look about 52 right now.

    ……maaaaaaaaybe i might do something else someday. Who knows?

  36. calviin says:

    that was glorious
