Nice,,,
I hated Helo after he betrayed the Human race, I'm guessing the producers didn't want a quick end to the war ?
Helo's morals got alot more humans killed , nice work Helo!

Leoban, was he the skinjob that mindfucked Starbuck by using a kidnapped child to force her into falling in love with it?
I hated that guy, good acting cause I really hated that cylon.

Cain was fun to watch, she could have easily used gas to knock out the crews of the cilvian ships and take whatever but the producers wanted that anti-Adama aspect.
Baltar, the cockroach of the human race, yeah he's fun to watch, he's made so many mistakes its hard not to want him dead but he's played by a great actor.

I don't really have a favorite but I do like Starbuck and Adama. :-)

Haha, huge fan is sort of an understatement. I can honestly say that BSG is the next evolution of television, and it's the most intelligent and philosophically written show I've ever seen. It's accessible for people who just enjoy television, but it's also an intellectual's show because there are layers upon layers in each script. My answers for favorite characters will not be typical, so brace yourself...

Helo -- A lot of people don't seem to care for Helo because he's a very moral character and he often takes action on his own against authority. One of my all-time favorite scenes from television is when Apollo wants to destroy the Cylon race with a virus, and Apollo says that the Cylons are just machines; they don't have fathers, mothers, sons or daughters. Half a beat later, Helo says with such constrained anger, "I had a daughter. I held her in my arms!" He's the most moral character on the show.

Leoben -- It absolutely fascinates me that the Cylons have a concept of God, of one true God. If the humans are polytheistic, why would the Cylon creator program the Cylons to believe in only one God? Or did the Cylons create their religious mythology? Leoben is the most spiritual of the Cylons, and he constantly refers to destiny and the work of God, which essentially makes him human because why would Cylons need any stock in the future?

Admiral Cain -- She served as the antithesis to Adama. She had no remorse about killing civilians because how else do you keep authority to run a ship? Asking them nicely won't do anything. She had to exert force over her crew in order to keep things running. She's the "evil" character, but I think Ron Moore and his writing staff really made sure she didn't go without reason. The ends justify the means, the means is surviving. She did what she had to do.

My absolute fave, Gaius Baltar -- He's kind of a slimey character. He stutters a lot (the universal signifier of shadiness) and he's driven by his libido. BUT actor James Callis has played Baltar on the crux of survival. Every decision that he has made, either on his own or with the help of Number Six, has been in order to survive. And to me, that's basic human nature. We exist to keep existing. We lie, cheat, and steal in order to survive. We justify our actions in order to survive. He's the "bad guy" within the human fleet, but to me, he's the most empathetic. I understand why he does what he does. In almost all of his situations, I would've done the same things he did. Does that make me a bad person? No, it makes me human. Baltar is so incredibly well written.

Whew.

On Facebook, I'm in a relationship with Battlestar. It is the best boyfriend. It's always there for me, it challenges me, and we have great conversations. ;) I'm really excited about any tv-movie that Sci-Fi throws my way. I'm looking forward to Caprica, certainly not for the casting but because I have A LOT of Cylon creation questions. Ron Moore was smart to start the story in the middle so he could incorporate flashbacks and keep people guessing, so although I don't care for the time period of Caprica, I am happy about the time placement for the next tv-movie. I do agree that it's interesting that 2 of the Final 5 will be included, so I hope they explore their relationships to the BSG-Cylon universe. Since Razor was Galactica-centric, I'm hoping the tv-movie will be Cylon-centric. Downloaded was one of my favorite episodes!

BSG is hands down the greatest show ever to be on Television, and it consistantly is better than most movies, if I ever talk about what I'd most want to watch, it's BSG over movies anyday.
