I have a handi-cam camcorder somewhere. Film for it is dirt-cheap. I'm getting ideas.... yeah, you guys are going to create a monster. Youtube is the perfect vehicle for indie-indie-indie film. I mean, I only took two cinema classes in college, no make that three. Then I went back to creative writing in fear. Writing is a necessary skill in making movies though. Never used a script, though. We just came up with a premise, created our own characters, and made up the weirdest stuff on the spot. We hear so many people complaining about movies these days, and not enough of them making their own to show up Hollywood. Get a camera, write a script, get some video-editing software, and for anyone who wants special effects, the 3D program Blender is a free download. It's a great experience, and the less talent you have, the better you'll eventually get (or the funnier your first movie will be.) I used to film movies with my brothers. Never used a script, though. Most of my friends have NO interest in making a movie, and the same thing happened with a friend of mine in FL....he had to abandon his movie halfway through filming because his friends were not reliable.
