you screw ups you dont see the atmosphere that rob zombie had with the feeling of michael and why he is the shape also at least they can remake the series and not have a h3 with stupid masks that kill people.also rob zombie im not a fan of his other movies but i though halloween was a great remake you people are just fan boys of the original.o get over a remake sequel little queers

hold on people! first off Zombie’s remake kinda sucked. It draged too long in the first half of the film and gave Michael too much emotion as a child, which to, me killed the whole premiss of the movie. I think there should be another remake instead where Michael is less angry as a child and instead eerily shy, in an almost “innocent” kind of way . Also they should completely lose the whole disfunctional family thing in the begining. However, I didn’t mind the scenes where Michael was in the psych hospital. If Zombie had just made Michael like that from the start of the film it would have been a better movie (that and a few other minor details, especially that scene when he is sitting outside alone with 70s rock music playing in the background… that was stupid). In general I don’t really like Zombie’s films. He trys to make you sympothize too much with the psychos in his movies, which ends up completely the ruining the entire point of a horror film.

If you like Zombie’s Halloween, do yourself a favor and hunt down the workprint. Overall, I like that version the best.

I’m very much in the camp of people who didn’t like the RZ Halloween. I thought that showing so much of the back story sort of ruined it. Showing that someone who grew up in a bad environment with no morality applied was able to very easily turn into a killer wasn’t that interesting.
To me the original was spookier at least because you don’t really know much about how or why he got to be the way he is. And maybe I was hoping for a bit more depth on that end, but the route that RZ took seemed to be too easy, and disappointing.

With all that said, I would be interested to see what a different set of writers and directors could do with the story.

Sounds interesting. I saw Inside and liked it. It´s gory as hell, but also has a lot of atmosphere.
I´ll be looking forward to this one!

it’s not like the original stories were a one off. there’s like, 8 halloween films in the first franchise so what’s the big deal about a sequel to the reboot?

I think that the guys from inside could create a really creepy film with great tension (inside) and capture the spirit of michael as the shape (not just a big guy with a messed up childhood)
