Peter Segal joins Wardogs

Looks like Curious George and Missing writer Ken Kaufman teamed up with unknown David Agosto and managed to sell their script called Wardogs to MGM. Now we hear that working title has a working director. Peter Segal.

Ken Kaufman and David Agosto have sold an action-comedy pitch to MGM for $1 million. The project is tentatively titled Wardogs, and producer Michael Ewing says: “it’s an action ensemble comedy in the vein of Ocean’s Eleven, where the casting becomes an event. It is a bunch of these terrific actors getting together and having a good time, it’s that kind of thing.”

Sounds great! Forget another Oceans 11. We will take the concept of Tropic Thunder and make an Oceans 11 movie out of it.

So who’s this awesome cast he is talking about? Oh, we don’t know yet.

What we do know is that Peter Segal will be directing. He has a pretty decent track record for comedies and while he hasn’t knocked one out of the park yet, he’s doing good.

We will have to wait to see how this shapes up.

What does it take to sell a movie script to any movie theater production company? That’s probably what many people who write anything at all want to do.
