looks good. very good. funny but not mocking. i like that. i think weve all seen enough crap making fun of W that its not really funny anymore. sure the man isnt the best president weve ever had but he’s certainly not the worst as most people seem to think. i hope what this movie does is point out his many flaws but also show the good character traits and desisions he’s made as well. id go so far as to say the poor man has had to deal with more crap in the world than any other president during there terms. i hope he gets some rest after getting outa the white house. he looks exahusted these days..
I don’t mind Oliver Stone movies and I’m not quite in the “Bush is the worst ever, he’s the devil etc” camp so I’ve been watching these trailers to see what Stone was aiming for: a fair but negative leaning portrait of a seriously flawed man, or a lefty editorial cartoon come to life.
I was hoping for the former for a long time, but that scene of Bush on the toilet wiping his ass and saying John Quincy Adams lived three hundred years ago makes me think otherwise.
If he ever did actually say that, there’s only two people who’d know it and I don’t see their names anywhere in the writing credits. That’s the kind of unnecessary caricature and partisan silliness that will water down any truer, deeper analysis of the man — if indeed any exists in the film.
I hope I’m wrong, but it looks like this movie is being made for the Bush-bashers only. Strange, considering that his previous presidential film can be enjoyed by both Nixon fans and haters.
I don’t get Oliver Stone. Alexander sucked, I didn’t like what I saw of Platoon and I couldn’t take World Trade Center (not to say it was bad). He’s overrated if you ask me. All Platoon was was a bunch of people with torrets thinking they’re tough by saying stuff like “I shit on all of you.” I will not see this film.

Josh Brolin Kicks Ass
Looks interesting but they need to get rid of the song…….almost ruins the trailer.
Well this looks like a happy go lucky time at the theater. The music and comedy really sold it for me. What was with all the explosions tho?
John said it wasn’t a comedy, but it looks like a comedy to me…
It looks more like a Comedy to me, They even have the whole Pretzel choking incident that was well documented.
