City of Ember Poster

We have a new poster and plot synopsis to share with you today for City Of Ember. We get the following hookup from our friends at moviesonline:

Poster Cityofember 1

For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights. But Ember’s once powerful generator is failing … and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. Now, two teenagers in a race against time, must search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city’s existence, and help the citizens escape before the lights go out forever.

This is a poster that wells up glee from within me. It isn’t the greatest poster on earth, but it does appear to be a painted art piece rather than another photoshopped floating-head special. I very much prefer a painted poster and would like to extend kudos to those involved for making a wise decision.

City Of Ember stars Bill Murray and is set to be in theaters Oct 10, 2008.

Looking at that poster, I have a feeling that person isn’t going to fall off that cliff, and everything is going to be okay.

when i saw the trailer for this it really reminded me of bioshock. to such a degree that it made me wonder about the source material and when it was written.

It reminds me of the old Goonies poster when they are all hanging from the ceiling of the cave. Hope it is a good film.

I really liked the two first novels, i.e. “City of Ember” and “People of Sparks”, then the book series began to suck big. I did not finish part three. I’m looking forward to the movie, but I fear they have changed the story too much. There are a couple of things that are really wrong already on the poster.

The city of Embers logo is a total rip-off of a logo I did over two years ago for my friends Electrical Company – Judge for yourself http://www.dozadesign.com/city_of_embers_ripoff.jpg
