I actually liked Tom Jane's Punisher. But hey, that's just my opinion. (I'm saying that a lot these days, aren't I?)

Well I do like Punisher from the 80s (the comic one). especially "Punisher War Journal", Jim Lee as the artist I recall (he is still a newcomer back then). His drawing of Punisher is badass! Yet still retain the realistic situation of real world, also he's drawn some nifty weaponry in that.
The old movie itself is still relatively enjoyable, although because it's from 80s, a cheesy one indeed.Still I rated it highly than the last one (2004?)
I do also enjoyed most of the movie from Marvel so far, emphasis on "most".

Marvel 1602 is one of my favorite comics of all time.

but a movie? hmmm.

maybe a live action mini-series or an animated feature.

if it was animated, why not get the comics artist on board, and a bunch of guys talented enough to copy his style. that would be nice.

This sounds interesting. I actually haven't hated anything that Marvel has done except the Punisher from the 1980's(?). That was just terrible. I actually didn't hate films like Spider-Man 3 or the Fantastic Four films. This could be cool

@Digital Drew: There was also Peter Parker and Daredevil and a more important character that would be a spoiler if I said his name.

1602 had a good story, although the ending was pretty dumb. I wouldn't object to seeing it in movie form, but like you said John, I think it's more suited to be an animated feature than a big crowd-pleaser for theater-goers.
