New Star Wars MMO Announced
Since pretty much all the current staff of TMB plays Massively Multiplayer Online games (World of Warcraft) and Star Wars is a movie… The International Friends get to hear about this. Deal.
Star Wars is getting an MMO developed by the same people that created Knights of the Old Republic, by far the most popular and best received game in the Star Wars library. So it would make sense that Bioware would be behind an attempt to ressurect the online gaming community in the Star Wars world.

(NASDAQ: ERTS), today announced the development of Star Wars®: The Old Republic™, a story-driven massively multiplayer online PC game set in the timeframe of the Star Wars®: Knights of the Old Republic™ franchise. Star Wars: The Old Republic, being developed and published by BioWare and LucasArts, represents an innovative approach to interactive entertainment, featuring immersive storytelling, dynamic combat and intelligent companion characters.
This is the worst kept secret in the gaming industry. A while back BioWare sent out job openings for an unnamed MMO, and Sony was drawing close to the end of their deal for supporting the relative failure of the Star Wars MMO, it just made sense.
So now its out in the open, and all official like. I look forward to seeing how it plays out.

KOTOR + MMO = Me with a lot less free time.
I have played both KOTOR’s and I loved them both but one thing will always bug the hell out of me. If they have “Lightsabers” why is it that it takes about 15 hits to kill something.
Last I remember a lightsaber can cut through anything. idk it’s just something that bugged me about the games
Yea this I found on my topic rounds for my game blog like yesterday. I will keep a close watch on this game so if anyone checks my game blog I will post updates on this. I just hope the game hits PS3 or 360 cause I dont know if my PC could handle it. I also would like the gameplay tobe much diffrent then KOTOR. Oh and if you are wondering about the title change its because Knights = Jedi, so this as an MMO which means you can be more than a Jedi. I like this title better now we only have to type TOR instead of KOTOR.

All I can say is FUCK YEAH. Star Wars is a perfect platform for an MMO. There already is Star Wars galaxies and I used to play that game but it’s pretty old and they messed it up. Up-to-date Star Wars MMO will be great!
I Love the Game Gears of war but are peple getting Band from x box Live .
