If this Street Fighter does make alot of money in the box office the filmmakers can make the sequel but if it fails it's over and then think of something else but I think the movie will do well at the box office.
the 1994 Street Fighter movie with JCVD was worst but the writer and the director of that movie likes the idea on The Legend Of Chun Li movie.
I don't listen to critics that say that the movie will suck well cut the crap.
i don't mind the poster but they will bring out more posters and a threatical trailer soon.
Lets see how this movie goes.
Thank You.

hopefully they go for straight tight and smooth action, with a serious storyline. I mean come on.... Chun-li has a good story, shes a girl whos father was murdered by Bison and dedicates her life to getting revenge and bringing down Shadow Law, Bisons criminal organization.....they even touched on that subject in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie and that show was a THOUSAND times better then the live-action flick! As long as they dont try to go over the top or lower it for kids, then they should have a solid story for it.............and also like they said they'll kinda TRY to introduce Ken and Ryu for a possible sequel, so if they cant do it right dont blame it on story or characters..... blame it on the money-hungry execs who try to make it "more appealling to the audience" I.E. more enticing for people to spend their money on.

OH yeah ,whats with the blue eyes, what is this AGASHA. It's bad enough that some people don't think she's asian at all. pure gas on the fire, right dumb-ass(who ever thought it was a good idea to make her eyes blue) I know it matches the background but they should have made her his brown or green and gotten a different background. Isn't her eyes green in the film anyway?

Kristin Kreuk fits the part no doubt about that. but I'm just worried how the film is going to do.there are no original costumes,no powers ether .Ok Iunderstand this movie is going to be realistic, but there is such a thing being too realistic. and isn't that the reason why street fighter 2 the movie sucked because there were no powers, it was too realistic as far as no powers ,and not serious enough as far as the movie go's . and i understand that street fighters don't wear their costumes all the time, but l think once is fare.

they should present their selves as "mutants" (like in the x-men movies) they don't have powers right away like mutant do, their just born abnormally strong and they have the capability to access powers.if they train their bodies hard enough and concentrate their mines, then their true powers will come out.
signature movies are awesome, but that's not enough. must have powers

a person that fights = street fighter...............

lol how lame, that means anyone can be a street fighter

go on, hurry and spread the words that i have told you. before it's to late!!!!!!

i would love to see another film of depicting the street fighter franchise to make up for the atrocity of the original movie. however, i don;t see anyone taking interest around a street fighter movie not centered around ryu and ken. hopefully they can pass it off as a "resident evil/ serenity" type film with an ass-kicking heroin.

Never try to let a Japanese poster or trailer be your first impression of a movie. Don't forget this is the same country that "The Dark Knight" bombed in, so their marketing scheme works much differently than ours, where they need everything light and fluffy.

I'm not a Street Fighter fan myself, and I'm especially iffy about any non-sequel that uses a colon in it's title, but I might check it out if the non-Japanese trailer looks good. I read a director's interview where he said he's trying to make it as little like Elektra and Charlie's Angels as possible and more like Terminator and Aliens. Probably spewing publicity crap, but at least he's pushing the right buttons to intrigue me.

PADTHAI... why doesn't it make sense? The movie isn't about the Street Fighter tournament. It is a story about the origin of the character of Chun-Li. Ken and Ryu (and those other named characters) don't need to be a part. Just the "BADGUYS" who give her a reason to par-take in the tournament NEED to be in the movie.

What you said is like saying that a movie about me must have you in it to play a role. Not true.

I enjoyed the first STREET FIGHTER greatly. for me it's on par with the first MORTAL KOMBAT, and i enjoyed mortal kombat. So I'll see this one as well.
