Almost 6 months ago I was treated to seeing the first “unofficial” trailer for the new Underworld movie. I freaked completely out at how good it was. Now the official Underworld 3 trailer is out… and while it’s not quite as good as the version I saw before, it is still DAMN FREAKING SWEET! This is what the Underworld franchise should have been from the very beginning. Oh yeah… adding one of the hottest women on the planet, Rhona Mitra, doesn’t hurt either.

i like how a lot of the original cast is in it.
why did they make one that doesn involve Kate Beckinsale thought she was married to the underworld director.
I agree they should have made Underworld 3 before 1 & 2, i would’ve love the franchise better but still looks like the same stuff we seen from the first two and we all know how it ends so i’m still not interest in this movie.

this looks like the the first 2 flicks, it’s the same stuff we’ve seen before.
based on this trailer, i have really no interest in seeing this movie. My prediction is that this is the last Underworld movie, it’s a dead franchise. Underworld never had enough fans for a third movie.
idk i kinda think we already know how this ends…really cool movie if your a fanboy but idk looks like i have already seen it…i will download it but i wont waste money on rehashed prequals…..learn my lesson with star wars.
Yeah with a director like Len Wiseman out of the project by a director who hasen’t directed anything like this before and the same writer from Underworld 2 who knows how this film will turn out?

Some of the running cgi lycans looks really bad. Still this looks a lot better than Twilight.

I agree with the others who have been pretty underwhelmed by the trailer, and the prequel concept in general. We learned everything we needed to know about that incident that started the War between the Vampires and Lycans in a 2 minute flashback in the first movie. Why they figured they needed to go back and make an entire movie out of the incident is beyond me.
I quite enjoyed the first movie, the second was ok, but I’ll take a pass on this one. I’m done with prequels where I already know the outcome.
It sounds weird hearing the Max Payne music in another trailer so soon.
But I do like the army of werewolves concept. I think it’s pretty remarkable what this franchise does without CGI.

I thikn this trailer looks freaking awesome and if you’ve read the books then you know exactly how this movie is going to end (as long as they stick with the books). Which they should. I think will be 10x better than the second one.

well i hate werewolfs, i hope they dont kill this movie, twilight has werewolfs in the sequels and i hope they dont fuck it up. werewolfs are such horribly invented creatures but w.e.

I just think it looks like a million other trailers (i think its Mr Trailer Voice that turns me off) and that rip off scene of 300 has checked me out of it completely. But then I was never into ‘Underworld’.
While I’m bummed Kate won’t be in this one, I’ll take a gamble. I’m sure 2009 will more than enough stinkers to avoid.

Underworld is just really GAY! It’s the lamest thing in the world, they combined concepts from Matrix and Blade.

The Underworld movies are my guilty pleasure and after seeing DOOMSDAY, I am convinced Rhona Mitra as a good replacement.
1) this has nothing to do with the matrix or blade
2) if this had anything to do with the matrix or blade it would be so sweet

they basically take a lot of the visual ideas from those movies like the gun battle scenes, dark leather clothing, color drained film that is all dark and grey, lots of boring over complicated exposition about wars and backstory, lots of slow dull scenes between the action sequences, and lots and lots of pretentiousness that takes itself too seriously with no sense of fun or humor.

I would not have maid this movie if I were them.I mean ya they set it up for a 3rd on in the 2nd but now that they are making it it’s like they are going backwards and I really would not have done it if they could not get Kate to play the lead role again.To me there is no point in making it.Ya don’t get me wrong I will go and see it I have the other 2 and they were bad ass and so I will see this one also but they should have got the same cast to make it.with this new cast it’s almost like making a whole new movie.
People don’t seem to understand that Kate’s character Selena is NOT part of this movie. Rhona Mitra is playing the chracter of Sonya, who was mentioned as Viktor’s DAUGHTER (the one who gets killed because she got pregnant for Lucian)…..not Beckinsale’s character Selene. Selene and Lucian never had a romantic relationship…..so the movie actually does have the same characters.

Somebody commented they should have shown #3 before #1 and I agree, but they also should have shown #2 before #1. In fact, they should have actually released them in reverse order, because without #2, #1 made no real sense. Also, since Vic dies in #2, #3 would have to be before it as well. Either way or whichever way, I likeed the first two, with the second being much better, which is rare for a sequel, and I’m sure I’ll like number #3.
Even though I’ll miss Kate and her character, she would have to play the part of a child in number #3 to stay accurate chronologically speaking, so there is no way she can do it, lol!
I am really excited to see this. I think it is going to be great. Although, I thought if another Underworld was to come out that Kate would be amazing in it. I do understand them going back to the beginning to show how it all really started. Just look at the Sawn movies and how they have planned those. My 10 year old loves the Underworld movies and I am sure that he will enjoy this as well. I think this movie will fill in some blank spots that the first one left.
WOW, yes I’m late writing this. Never seen the the previews! And yes I’ve seen 1 and 2. And the review is 4 months late. OMG!!!!! What a LAME $%#$# MOVIE.
Here’s a preview ” The best yet made”. OMG who said this? The director> ROFL. I swear to GOD I COULD MAKE A BETTER MOVIE. Especially one like this that deserves better. Who ever agrees to have this in the final script is “Who I can better relate to the fans for ” WOW, WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT! I guess it’s ALL ABOUT THE $$$ PEOPLE %##% LAMO
AND BTW for those of you who were raised in the “Y2K ERA”. GO back to to MAN DOLLS, and stop ruining GOOD MOVIES
