I can’t wait for this movie, but I really hate this poster.
I actually saw an early free screening of this. The special effects weren’t done yet, but this is a very good movie. The Romance is not over bearing and mushy and has a lot of action and quite moving. The story about the young aborginal boy is a big part of the story but theres hardly anything about it in the trailers. I highly recommend this, guys take your GF’s to see it so you can seem sensitive and you will get some good action as well as bad ass outback drunks and girls, you get romance and Wolverine with his shirt off.
It’s a cool poster… It’s a great throwback to classic movie films like “Gone With The Wind”… I think more posters should be throwbacks to the old school Early Golden Age of Motion Pictures instead of all the shit they throw down the pipe these days.
I can’t put a finger on why I dislike it so much. Is it the color, or the font, or the composition of the image? I just looked at it and cringed.
And T-Vo, if Jackman has his shirt off for at least ten minutes, this film will be at least a 7/10 in my book:)
Looks all kinda bad. I hope for the best.
Yawn. Kidman’s starting to look like a wax dummy and Jackman is always trying so hard to look like a tough guy yet never seems to take any tough guy roles. He’s quickly becoming the Hollywood version of Fabio.
Kinda reminds me of Cold Mountain…
Remember Nov. the Fifth
they look hilarious. Their facial expressions are ridiculous. I don’t think they should have their eyes closed.
Boxing Day? isn’t that a canadian holiday that takes place the day after Christmas?
This poster isn’t even good in the nostalgic old style design it appears to be aiming for.
I can’t summon any kind of enthusiasm for this film.
dumb poster……….
really dumb.
wtf the poster looks like a really cheesy novel. and when’s “boxing day”? lol :P
The poster is actually similar to that of Casablanca. (esp with the lettering and the white flower in Nicole Kidman’s hair…this is worn by Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca but not on the poste)..still the posters are very similar…Go to this site and you’ll see what I mean.

Also, the title has just the name of a location in it and nothing else….much like older classic movies that have stood the test of time. I agree…the trailer is not very good, but whenever a movie just has one word in it as this one does, it usually has a profound and meaningful message that turns the movie into a classic…much like Casablanca.
also check out this site…for another Australia poster…very similar to a scene in Casablanca…especially with the white flower in Nicole Kidman’s hair and the kiss in the rain….genius…and classic movie making.
