We have word that Groundhog Day will hit the shelves just before the holiday in Blu-ray format! We get the heads up thanks to our friends at the movieweb:
You can relive Bill Murray reliving the same day over and over again in high definition next year. Groundhog Day will be released on Blu-ray on January 27, just before the actual holiday itself. The film stars Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell and Chris Elliot.
I was lucky to see Groundhog Day in theaters years ago. The movie was hilarious, and stands up well in repeat viewings. If I was going to buy a Blu-ray player, this film would tempt me to live on my shelf.
Bill Murray and Chris Elliot in the same movie was reason enough for me to go. Chris Elliot used to write for Letterman before landing his own show on the fledgeling Fox network. Get A Life had a short run, but it was fantastic. I still count it as my favorite television show and I am always on the lookout for more projects by Elliot.

To be quite honest, I’ve never seen this film
This is one of the funniest movies ever made, and Get-A-Life, a 40 yr paper boy, was an excellent show.
I love this movie and i love blu ray. I have worked in Iraq for a year and 3 months. and everyday out here is the same. wakeup 12 hrs of work go to the gym sleep and start over
