I might be down with the idea that He-Man might work as an animated film akin to ‘Beowulf’ but if I had my choice I would chose live action all the way.

Beowulf was great but I want to see He-Man brought to life. Unfortunately it probably won’t happen.

When I first heard the name and his previous film, I was concerned.
Kung Fu Panda?! Yeah, that animated film was a hit and a hoot, but…

…and then I thought about it and what the heck the man could have said in the pitch room. Now I’m down with this.

Not to rain on anyone’s picnic here, but what if He-Man was an animated CGI/Motion capture film like ‘Beowulf’? Is that something we should speculate on? If that’s the case, I’m sold.

Very interesting idea,maybe that Kung Fu Panda director could take over to do the He-Man movie but the casting for He-Man hasn’t been decided yet but I think that Travis Fimmel would be a good pick for He-Man or it can be any actors.
So Travis Fimmel could be the new He-Man maybe.

And He-Man pwns Speed Racer. You can’t even compare the two.

I’m not getting my hopes up for this. Just like a new Conan movie, it has been off and on again so many times. Plus, Joel Silver’s last project was the box office bomb ‘Speed Racer’ and now he wants a studio to make another cartoon into a live action film?

Well I love to see another try of this. At the time I thought the 2003 cartoon was terrible but after watching a few more episodes last year it really had some good stories to tell. I do agree with Doug, you have to like a guy that has an idea for a movie, walks right into the producers office and lays his ideas on the desk. Then walks out with the job. Too bad we dont know what really happend at the meeting. For all we know he could have suck the producer off so good he got the job. lol

The combination of swords and magic with technology and science was one of my favourite aspects of He-Man. If its done well it might show a way that Thor can co-exist with Iron Man on film.
