The Beaver

BeaverWe have word today that Steve Carell will be starring in a film called The Beaver. We get the following details about the project from the northland caves of Yahoo:

Steve Carell is attached to star in “The Beaver,” a whimsical tale that occupies the fantastical territory as “Being John Malkovich” and “Lars and the Real Girl.”
The story, from first-time writer Kyle Killen, revolves around a man who walks around with a beaver puppet on his hand, treating it as something close to a human creature with human feelings.

This film is about a man who talks to his puppet like a real person. The idea seems to be similar to Mr. Garrison from South Park…. mind you the idea of crazy people talking to puppets has been around for quite some time I am sure.

This is a wacky comedy that may suit Steve Carell very well. I welcome this casting and look forward to him getting as ridiculous as possible with a beaver puppet on his hand.

Last year I saw my first beaver in my girlfriend’s backyard. I was doing dishes, saw this fuzzy creature the size of a basketball and proclaimed “what the hell is that” my lady kindly responded “that’s a beaver you idiot what else looks like that?” A fair question on her part, I simply thought beavers were small, but it turns out that they are quite meaty.

I tried my best to chase the beaver but it was able to find a hiding spot by the time I got outside. I wanted to pet the Canadian icon and ask it to read my future from the bag of chicken bones that I carry around my neck. It wasn’t to be, the beaver vanished as quick as he came and left me to create my own destiny.

The next day as I was sitting in the living room a Falcon landed in the back stoop and was looking through the window at me for quite some time. This was the week of the Beaver and the Falcon. I will never forget the visits from these majestic beasts.

We will be sure to keep you guys up to speed on all films regarding beavers (and falcons).

You can skip to the end and leave a response.

The movie sounds stupid. I think Steve Carell is funny in The Office, and a little funny in Anchor Man, but other than that he is sort of annoying. I’m guessing by the lack of comments most people feel the same way.

LoL. I enjoyed your story more than the news about this movie, which may or may not be funny. Carell tends to annoy me unless he’s surrounded by a funny ensemble of actors.

…and Jerry Mathers as: “The Beaver”.

What was the dirtiest thing ever said on television?

“Ward, don’t you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night?”

ok, the title of the film sounds a little raunchy, but that could just be me.

I just read the script and it’s more of a serious and depressing movie then you’d expect from that plot.
