Today isn't that good, Doug.

"Universal Soldier" has zero to do with 'cyborgs'. The soldiers were more along the lines of Frankenstien, re-animated dead tissue* which was part of the reason why "Universal Soldier 2" failed (among other things) it threw out that aspect in favor of some computer taking over and possessing a (dead) soldier. In the first film the point was clearly made that the soldiers cannot "heat up" past a point, or they will return to the dead and cannot regenerate.

I loosely recall the cable films Adox refers to (aside from who was in them- Gary Busey, Burt Reynolds and Jeff Wincott) and I recall my huge disappointment in Van Damme's 'official' sequel to Universal Soldier, which was a crazy mess.

But if they get back to the regeneration/ice pack plot point, then any of the following could happen in a plot:

1) The Universal Sodier program is reactivated, but the sodiers are now a martial arts army of the living dead/Zombie army with bowie and butterfly knives;

2) A chopped up Sgt. Scott (Dolph) has been sewn back together because his body regenerated somehow (see-you can sort of cheat and get away with it!)

3) The new Unisols are all chicks and now they have to strip down to sit in icetubs.

*****

I'd like to see Van Damme have Hard Target II myself.

****

Van Damme was in a film called 'Cyborg'. He didn't play one. Angelina Jolie did in the sequel.

I LOVED the original Universal Soldier, not seen much of the others, probably turned them off actually but this sounds great.

I too would like to become a cyborg. Your brain has to be shown a little, floating in a primary coloured goo. Hidden weapons and funky sound effect when (parts of) you move are the icing on the cake
