I'm back because I have to concede that I forgot someone. Now, granted, it's a TV actor- and nobody calls it a comeback but rather "a surprise" or "re-invention" if anything.

These two fine actors are truly the success stories of the year; however, John skipped over Downey Jr.'s other film in 2008 apparently- a film which I really liked better than his supporting role in Tropic Thunder. I'm of course, talking about Charlie Bartlett.

As for Mickey Rourke...his comeback would have been complete if the Wienstiens put out 'Killshot' when they were supposed to. The film's been on the shelf for two years!

They've both been doing plenty of movies during this decade. Downey has been a part of some higher profile films, and his movies have been a lot better.

Mickey hasn't been in to many good films despite the fact that he's been in roughly 15 films I think for the past decade. I think his highest profile movie other than The Wrestler was Sin City.

I'm glad both are doing well now.

Well I would throw in Marvel films itself as a comeback story. Though it hasn't altogether been their fault, the last great Marvel movie was Spider-man 2 four years ago. Spidey, X-Men, Blade, Fanastic Four all got run into the ground. Ghost Rider was D.O.A and all their other properties were stuck in development hell.

Now Iron Man and Incredible Hulk have rocked, Captain America and Thor are finally on the way and Marvel has laid the groundwork for what could be an amazing set of films of they get them right.
