Best movie yet about pirates and romance when i first saw this movie it was the most action pact movie that i ever watched. Jack is a rebel and i adored him to no end. even if it was a W D movie i was not supposed to watch it if i had never watched it i would never have become who i am today.

This movie pales in comparison to the first. It is not as good as the second or third either. It is bad enough that I actually had to stop watching it and take a break. It just seems cheesy to the point of being stupid. There are a few scenes that make it watchable though. The mermaid scene is really cool and reminds me of the quality of the first movie alot.

I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT TILL THE NEW POTC MOVIE COMES OUT.... i love all of the movies so far.... plus i am a huge Johnny Depp fan... yea i no fan girl. I wont miss Knightly and Bloom, they were almost turning the movie into a drama... i have watched the trailer for POTC 4 and it looks like it will be funny.

I think Hollywood cinema has been long in waiting for more of Johnny Depp at his best. His Jack Sparrow creation is so strong that POTC 7 and 8 would still be (at least) watchable. People have kind of forgotten how influential his character was when POTC 1 came out; personally, I went to every fancy dress party dressed as him. But that's besides the point...

The first film was obviously brilliant, and the second wasn't bad either, but the complete disaster that was the third movie was purely down to the poor script. They've got a new director, Rob Marshall ('Nine', 'Chicago'), which is a good move in my opinion, but I think an entirely new crew will give POTC 4 the re-imaging that it deserves.

Let's be honest, you can't leave the trilogy as it is; at that shitty ending of Will and Elizabeth getting frisky on the beach and Jack delivering those cheesy one-liners to Scarlett and Giselle. It was so awkward I wanted to hurl.

I really disagree. the first movie was amazing. the other ones were great aswell not like the first but i wasnt disapointed. im bummed that bloom and knightly arent comming back just because theyre part of the story since the begining but as long as johnny depp is back is all that mstters. he is an amazing actor and im excited to see the sequal.

i love pirates of the carribean. i very much disagree with the bloom and knightly comments because the "love triangle" and the "love" between them is really in focus with people my age. when i went and saw at worlds end with all my friends we cried in the end when will came up and saw elizabeth. ending his character was a great and dramatic change but i dont think he should be taken out of the movie. maybe knightly because she is kind of dull and downer.

I for one am glad Knighty isn't interested in doing a 4th movie because I have no interest in seeing her for a 4th movie.

I want to see a PIRATE movie and not some sappy romance movie. The whole thing with will and elizabeth is OVER. (hope what Daniel said about no Knighty and Bloom is true)

well, I would just not agree with you, John. The first movie was too abstract, unbelievable...teen crap! then it just got better! you could enjoy parallel stories going on, Jack selfish plans and the dirt of pirates of that time! It's a pity though, that the movie will come after such a long time. i cannot wait to see it! As for Orlando and the chick, you cannot avoid them as they play a very important part, "the captain of the flying Dutchman and his chick that has sex once in ten years(she cheats him all the time). I never had a problem with them...I really enjoyed it. it is indeed a great movie...

ive just been checking on some different websites and i read on an update of june 11 09 that there will be a potc 4. shooting will take place between late 09 through 2011. yea and knightley and bloom wont be back in it because they r asking for too much money and the film could already cost enough. the film might lack some special effects that the first three had. thats all it said.

The only reason that some people dont like the parts of will and elizabeth in the movies is because they dont like the romance. but think of it this way, originally a good reason for them to have the romance with the action was to appeal to different audiences. take away the romance and it wont get the same response it got before

ive got some bad news to all of u potc fans. found out that gore verbinski (director of all movies) has dropped all plans for potc 4. when i found this out i asked loads of ppl and they all said it was true. main reason he is going to stop with them is because he wants to focus on more movies he will be making. all of u can deny it but i think its true. sry people.

I have to agree with Darthmuppet, At worlds End was the better of 2 and 3, nothing beats Curse of the Black Pearl, but thats because its the first of the them and just like any series of movies the first is 98% of the time the best because its the first time your meeting the characters and whatnot. again i have to agree Bloom is not a bad actor, just not given a good chance everyone is focused on Depp as Jack sparrow, dont get me wrong Jack is better then most characters i have seen in years, Knightly eh is all i can say about her,, she has had some good moments in the pirates movies but not a real good run other then those few moments, so i do have agree in saying with a 4th movies make it more on Jack and barbossa but NOT a prequel please,, start from where at worlds end left off,, both of them going for the fountain of youth and maybe throw in a few things about both of their pasts like how or why Jones brought the Pearl up for jack in the first place, or more about how Jack and Barbossa know each other make it new but still keep on jack mainly

I just have to mention... I am the biggest POTC fan!!! My son and I watch all 3 movies over and over and over! And for me, they can make tons more POTC movies... I'll be there in the front seat on opening night to see them!!!

Just to comment on what everyone has been saying about Kiera and Orlando... I totally think they need to be brought back to the 4th installment of the series. I mean, come on... We have "grown" with these characters since the 1st movie. It just wouldn't be the same without them. On another note, i would preffer to see their characters written off than to be played by any other different actors. I don't like watching an actor/actress play a specific character, and get to know them as that character, then BAM! They change the actor/actress in the future movies.

And for the person that commented on it being that they are tying POTC into Peter Pan... if they do this, and pull it off, OMG! That would be totally brilliant...

All I know, is that I am wayyyyyyyy excited for this 4th part to come out, ready to see Capt Jack Sparrow, Barbossa, the crew of the Black Pearl... Hell, it would even be nice to see them bring Davy Jones back, and i would like to see more of Calypso.
