In a casting extravaganza Tarantino proves that he is determined to get Inglorious Bastards a cast. And we can lay to rest all the Brad Pitt rumours. He is in!
Today we get word that Brad Pitt has signed on the dotted line and will star in Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards and joining him in early casting are Eli Roth (director of Hostel) and B.J. Novak (“The Office”, Knocked Up).
Pitt will play a Tennessee hillbilly who assembles a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers. Eli Roth will play the role of Sgt. Donnie Donowitz, and Tarantino is locking in the other seven American actors who make up the Bastards team. Novak is expected to play PFC Utivich, described as a soldier of slight build who comes from New York.
I have to admit, I am not much of a Tarnatino fan. He hits about 50/50 with me, so while I don’t hate him I just don’t get pumped about his films unless I hear some good buzz after it comes out.
So it is saying alot that with Brad Pitt on board combined with that killer premise (who doesnt wanna see rednecks beat up Nazis???) I am starting to look forward to this.
I would be 100% on it with DiCaprio, but Tarantino is seeking a German Actor to play that part.
i dont want to hear about brad until he officially takes the job of being thor….
why have people stopped talking about cap and thor? i remember when they sayd there would be a movie about ironman everyone was going banannas about it trying to guess who was going to play ironman….

Pitt has been in Tarantino scripted material before; as Floyd in True Romance one of my favorite roles for him. The other being as Jeffrey Goines in 12 Monkeys.
That cast sounds…terrible. BJ Novak? Really?
But hey, I’m sure people said the same things about Travolta in Pulp Fiction.
