Well then its a good thing this isnt a remake of Inglorious Bastards.

Tarantino already made it clear that he liked the sound of the name and it has NOTHING to do with the Italian film.

This is original and aside from the similarity of the names (which he spelled wrong on purpose) there is no connection. Not a remake or a sequel.

So your theory falls a little flat.

I am slowly becoming a non-Tarantino fan. I saw the original Inglorious BastArds and it was ok. Tarantino is becoming the “other” cult version of Tim Burton. Different being is Tarantino is drawing from original trash to create something just as bad as the original, while Burton is remaking the original into something new and trashy.

Having read the supposed script, my answers would be

a) Yes, there is more to it than that, and
b) No, it doesn’t.

And I’m not even a Tarantino fan.
