Trejo and Schwarzenegger join The Expendables
The Expendables is shaping up to be a massive action extravaganza but not without some growing pains. Ben Kingsley will be taking a walk, but Eric Roberts will replace him and Mickey Rourke is in. Add the most intimidating animal on film – Danny Trejo – and you would think it would be perfect. But that isn’t all! As if that wasn’t cool enough Schwarzenegger is on too!

Ain’t It Cool News is reporting that Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be playing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables. He will be shooting for one day.Ben Kingsley is also reportedly out as the dirty bastard CIA sob, Eric Roberts is in, and Mickey Rourke has finally signed on officially. Latino Review says Danny Trejo has a role in the film as well.
This movie is shaping up to be amazing. Just on pure star power alone, these are the action stars and big muscle to bring about what could be the action film of the decade. Maybe that is my drunken testosterone speaking, but just typing all those names in one post is enough to make you want to break something.
And just to season it with a perfect tribute to one of the biggest action stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be playing himself as the Governator.
This movie is going to be sweet. When is this coming out?

Question: why is he taking a day out to shoot when his state is having thousands of lay offs and he should be busy trying to fix it?

I agree with you Gigan300 but since I don’t live in Cali I’m okay with him leaving the office for a day to shoot some scenes for what looks to be an entertaining flick.

Stallone better not let us down with this. It’s funny but a while ago, Inglorious Bastards had the same anticipation about it until it got scripted and became a seemingly different film (which isn’t a criticism). I remember the rumour of Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger being in that.
Now this, jesus… the star power in this film is unlike anything I have witnessed in my lifetime. Or rather star power that I idolised in my teens.
I so cannot wait!!! What is it? Stallone, Lundgren, Rourke, Roberts, Li, Trejo, Schwarzengger (?)
Am sure there are more but that list alone has bought me a bum on a seat come opening day.
