Not a bad choice at all. Considering some of the names that were previously mentioned in past articles. He is the right age, etc.

Count me as pleased! Just make the damn movie already so I can see this Green Lantern dream on the big screen before I am too old to enjoy it!

Actually Rodney, Kyle was in his early to mid 20s when he became GL. He was already living on his own and working an artist. He’s always been depicted as being roughly the same age as the original Titans, Night Wing, Donna Troy and Cyborg. Pine does seem to favor Rayner more so than Jordan, but since this is more than likely going to be an origin story I can see him as a young Jordan. Most of DC’s iconic heroes have never been shown as young adults or teens. Unlike Spiderman and the original Xmen; Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and GL have always appeared to be in their mid 30s. Not counting Super Boy of course.

You know Pine is 29 this year? This is perfect for the age they wanted for Hal.

Rayner was a teen when he became GL, Pine doesn’t look that young.

I could definitely see him as Kyle Rayner, but Jordan? Um…..I have an easier time picturing him as Kirk than I do as Jordan; that’s not to say that I hate the idea of him being cast in general but he would not be my ideal for Hal.

everytime i hear or see the name Chris Pine i keep think its the guy that played oz in the American Pie movies. i think he a ok guy for a movie not many may see cause Green Lantern is not as big as batman or superman in the dc world.

I saw smokin aces and I do not remember him in that. I don’t know if he would be good as GL Hal Jordan-maybe kyle ryner? or Guy Gardner? well either way, as long as they take their time and don’t rush things this will be a kick ass movie.
