Portman and Pitt are Important Artifacts

Film adaptations of novels tend to go so off book but sometimes you have to. In this case, Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman will take on the book with a mouthful of a title “Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion, and Jewelry.” by Leanne Shapton.

ComingSoon describes it:

The book takes the form of Sotheby’s-like estate auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a 40ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan, (a New York Times food columnist in her late 20s).

Sounds like this will build a story around a number of items that will reveal the story of these two people.

When Portman wants to be, she can be amazing, and Brad Pitt is also a great performer. They are both pretty people, and picturing the pairing I predict a great deal of chemistry.

I also predict they will go with a shorter title.
