Stone Cold Steve Austin is Expendable!
We already heard about Charisma Carpenter joining the Expendables, but I guess someone figured the cast wasn’t capable of lifting a Volvo with their bare hands, so they are adding some more muscle to the team. Former pro wrestler Steve Austin has joined the action extravaganza!
WWE alum “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Charisma Carpenter have been added to the cast of The Expendables, starring, written by and directed by Sylvester Stallone
Now normally I wouldn’t really care about a non actor/pro-wrestler in a movie, but this is just the type of role that they are capable of playing. He has an intimidating physical presence, and is clearly capable of performing choreographed action scenes. So this is a good fit.
Its not like they are suddenly going to pause in the middle of this film for a Shakespearean monologue.
This movie just keeps getting better and better.

We certainly hope not, because half of the cast wouldn’t be able to be understood (Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Jet Li).

Come on Mr.Rodney don’t you know when it comes to a good shakespearean monologue The Texas Rattlesnake is who you need. Lets hope Stallone will make a good action film with all these big names.

Did any of you guys watch “the condemned?” I guess not seeing as how your happy he’s been cast…………..
Yeah, I’ll admit to watching that drek. But I think two things should be said:
1- He was the lead in that picture;
2- The film was poorly executed in front of and behind the camera. Most of the acting was pure low-rate exploitation level, all the rest below that. The film wasn’t any fun.
Now here:
1- He has a small role, probably someone cast to fight Statham or Couture.
2- Jury is still out, but at least it looks like fun.
Yes, but in Condemned he was to carry the film as the lead. And though he could carry all my groceries, I wouldnt trust him to headline a film.
He is playing a supporting role as muscle. Thats all he is.

Just find Austin is a little to gimmicky these days, I’m a WWE fan (lol I supose everything is gimmicky with that!) but was never the biggest fan of the guy.
Just think there a plenty of big guys out there in actin that could have taken the role, but we’ll wait and see.
Still looking forward to the film, will be fun as hell.
A good fit. Hopefully we’ll get a Bruce Willis cameo in there too, and Kurt Russell. Nah, gotta save someone for the sequel.
The screen is going to literally explode in every theatre this is shown in, you guys realize this right? There is no way in hell a building can contain this level of man, let alone a room in a theatre.
This film is going one of my most anticipated of 2010.
ya i have to say this movie and thor will be in my bag of goodies…..wow they should just rez bruce lee and make him the bad guy along with hitler and a giant white whale….then get some one to play ahab! shit this movie is crazy good looking from the cast .

“The Condemed” sucked ass, he wasn’t ready for a lead role, he still has a lot to learn. Anyway, he’s awesome, the film will kick ass “and that’s the bottom line cuz the fool said so…”

Oh no, you heartless evil person. Why do you have to be the one to tell us that Santa doesn’t exist?The only make believe thing in it is the spontaneity cuz it’s all rehearsed how they handle the match and who wins cuz they follow a script and all. The thing is they get hurt for real so in a way it’s real. Open your mind dude.
