Where the Wild Things Are Poster Online

A new poster hit the net for Where the Wild Things Are – the Maurice Sendak’s children’s book adapted to a feature film by Spike Jonze.

The poster looks great, and though Max looks like he is crying, I imagine he is roaring his terrible roar.

I am interested to see how they flesh out 2 minutes worth of storytelling into a feature film, but so far the visuals look dead on to the book.

I have been waiting so see some news from this movie forever. Heard Spike and the studio were really going at it on this film! I don’t know the details of their “discussion” but I can assume it wasn’t all fun and games.

The early pics from some leaked stuff was so right on and now this pic really confirms the look of the movie. I hope this is really cool!

The book took me like 5 minutes to read when I was younger. I wonder how they are going to expand the time and what they are going to fill it with.

5 minutes? Did you have to sound out the words?

There is a video narration of this on Youtube that is 3 minutes long.

I imagine the one page where the wild things don’t want Max to go is going to turn into a major plot development.

give me a break, i counted seconds it took to turn the page.

i heard that we are getting a severly watered down version of what was originally filmed because test screening proved too frightning for children

I heard that the studio heads didn’t like how dark and ominous Jonze made the movie. Hopefully it still turns out alright, he is a good director. I never thought I would see a movie for this book, but I am looking forward to it!
