The Toy Story movies are immortal. I’ll never forget the first time I saw Toy Story 1. It was in Welland Ontario as the Seaway mall with my good friend Jeff Lavallee and some cute chick who was double jointed and could bend her elbows backwards (it’s a long story). I was just blown away by it… and not only by the new CGI animation… I was blown away by the beauty and purity of the story itself. And the sequel is one of he only wide release films in history (if not the ONLY wide release film in history) to get a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Toy Story is the standard bearer by which all CGI movies are measured, and Pixar’s crown jewel.
Then a few years ago Disney (who technically owned the rights to the Toy Story franchise) announced they were going to do a Toy Story 3 WITHOUT Pixar. Anger flowed from fans of the franchise against this blasphemy. Eventually Pixar and Disney merged and now Toy Story 3 is coming with Pixar man Lee Unkrich (also directed Finding Nemo, Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc.) at the helm. My cup runeth over with joy!
Things are in full swing for the summer of 2010 release, because it’s being reported that they just screened their very first teaser for Toy Story 3 at the annual NAB conference and trade show in Las Vegas. Coming Soon gives us this:
Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Group screened the teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas and Variety says the clip “shows Woody supervising the Toy Story characters as they improvise a sign for the pic, only to have Buzz upstage them all with a high-tech version.” Featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Estelle Harris, John Ratzenberger, Ned Beatty, Jodi Benson and Michael Keaton, Pixar’s third installment will hit theaters in Disney Digital 3D on June 18, 2010.
I always wish I was in Vegas… but now I REALLY wish I was in Vegas. But have faith international friends… if they’re showing it to audiences, they’ll probably throw it up online soon enough. We’ll let you know when they do.

Cannot wait to see TS3, loved the first two and cannot wait to see them in 3D. They are, IMO, two of Pixar’s best, even with all the quality films they make, TS 1 & 2 still stand out.
Was I the only person who really couldn’t stand Toy Story 2? Joan Cusack’s character/voice really grated on my nerves…Loved the first one though!
Yes! You are the only person who couldn’t stand Toy Story 2.
Too bad you couldn’t post it on here
Jessie’s song in TS2 still makes me weep.
its too bad Jim Varney isnt alive to reprise his role as Slink
Dont worry John youre not missing anything..its just the Toy Story characters building a sign (the toy story 3 logo) and theyre working on it and then Buzz Lightyear comes flying in and messes it up…and puts his fists on his hips all superhero like….and then all of them get mad at buzz for ruining the sign….and then “TOY STORY 3″
I want to see the REAL 2 minute trailer! Cuz I heard that theyre almost done with this movie
there is that superbowl ad for wall-e that has woody & buzz on it
Yeah but that doesnt quench my thirst for more toy story..i want that 2 minute full trailer
=]
Haz do you live in Vegas? I’m currently working the NAB, (Convention installation and debarkation)
and I soooo wish I could go in and see it…
Lol no I live in Coral Springs Florida but one of my good friends knows about this because of his job and he told me since were close
I cant elaborate on that though. But to answer your question, no, i dont live there, Vegas doesnt really attract me as much as it seems to attract most people
And I also SO wish I were there to see it and to see the poster…the poster sounds so amazing
And id have to say ive never heard of NAB
I pray daily that this film will be as good as the first two. How many perfect trilogies can we honestly say there have been?
I am 100% faithful this will be great. Not good, great
Pixar would never release a movie unless the story is great.
Theres no doubt in my mind that itll be GREAT
They have a poster too…and they didnt show it, but they showed what it was about.
It was Woodys back and his head was down as if hes really sad and in front of him (the background) is Andys room and its full of rock posters and skater stuff which obviously means that hes moved on from toys and is now into teen stuff…It sounds like a great poster
I hear that itll be about Andy donating them to a day care
DUDE IM SO EXCITED!
So cant wait for this
I can’t wait to see this. The first two movies are among the best animated features, ever.
Weee~! I’m sure this is something to look forward to. Only if pixar is involved though, Pixar animations rocks!
FYI, Terminator 2 got 100% as well.
