Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon 2!!!
For those of you who have been reading The Movie Blog for at least a couple of years, you know how absolutely in love I am with a little horror / comedy film called “Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon“. It just might be my all time favorite movie in that horror/comedy sub genre. Honestly hilarious and honesty disturbing too. I just loved it and still do.
For those of you that have seen it and stayed to the end of the credits in the movie, you know that they left the door open for a possible sequel. I never thought it would happen since the film failed to pick up a wide release (TOTALLY FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!), but to my great and pleasant surprise it looks like a sequel might indeed be in the works. The good folks over at DreadCentral give us this:
From actor Nathan Baesel himself, word is — “We’ve been talking for about a year, and Scott [Glosserman] and David [Stieve] have fleshed out a pretty workable frame. Scott called about a month ago cracking himself up while relating the newest machinations he and Stieve had come up with. I have to say it feels like it’s going in a direction that appeals to a lot of what I was wanting to do with Leslie and satisfies a lot of the conceptual elements that turn Scotty on while addressing Stieve’s desires to have a story light enough for entertaining popcorn fare while hitting genre fans where it counts. Scott feels the DVD sales have been strong enough to entice backers to a production that’s more expansive, expensive, and satisfying than BTM. We’ll see…
Sign me up! As a matter of fact, Scott… if you’re reading this, I’ll do anything you need me to do to help get this made… I think I’ve got $20 in my pocket if that’ll help. I seriously want to see the return of Leslie Vernon!

This is something I would love to see. BTM was amazing. It’s a shame more people haven’t seen or even heard of it. I make just about everyone I meet who has even a passing interest in horror films sit down and watch this with me. I wonder how many more cameos they can fit into this next one.
That little bit sounded good enough, I’ve only been a reader for coming up on one year, so i didn’t know that John lol. But it seems interesting enough

Sign me the freak up
I love this movie. I would love to see another set in the same tone.
The movie is awesome and this makes me happy. I loved it so much I picked up extra copies from the Hollywood video near me when it was going out of business to share with friends.
The first was a tremendous movie. This sounds like good news.
Thats some cool news, i love BTM and the way it sends up the horror genre everyone i’ve shown this film too have liked it too, i’d totally see a sequel.
