Wish I’d seen this guy in something. Right now though I really have no idea if he’ll work as Loki or not. Maybe he’ll surprise us all, like Hugh Jackmen did as Wolverine.

Now, with that pic above, I’m really wondering what the movie version of Loki’s costume will look like and what this Tom Hiddleston guy will look like in it.

I don’t know anything about this guy either, but you’re right Rodney. He doesn’t look like he’ll be a physical opposition to Thor and he shouldn’t. Loki is a weasel, plain and simple. He’s the god of lies, the trickster. On a side note, IMDb has dude listed as 6′ 1.5″. I think this is good, because even though he’s the trickster, he shouldn’t be a small guy. He’s a Nordic God so they should all be above average height to at least look the part.

I’m all about casting a good unknown and Loki has to be taken serious as a villain or he could be cheesy so casting a guy we don’t really know should help that out. Lets get Asgard to Oklahoma and involved with the Avengers right away. Beta Ray Bill and Frog Thor spinoffs are not likely in the works but a man can wish.

I guess all superheroes can attract top draw actors, even if some recent ones have done very well for doing so. Not so big names could be good for these characters.

Seems like a good choice. Talented actor that shouldn’t break the bank. Loki had to be around Thor’s age, so that works.

Its an ok. choice, Loki has always been like…his biggest villain (its his fucking brother)

I hope they do the whole..”Loki tries to kill Odin to become the king but Thor gets it instead and he gets jealous so he tries to kill Thor but thor kills him at the end” thing

And Ymir better fuckign be in this!

Also they better tie this up good to the real world since theyre doing an avengers movie…thats my #1 worry…and how his uniform will look…I hope they make his hammer look like the ultimate thor hammer…with a sharp edge like an axe on one of the sides
