What matters is whats in the story and how it's delivered. The problem with similar films is not the plot synopsis, it's the fact that the story doesn't deliver anything but a bunch of easily explainable situations. I know he's not announced as directing, but DelTorro has a wild imagination and if he even put half of that imagination into the screenplay he co-wrote, then it will likely be the most interesting haunted house movie since Poltergeist. I like to be optimistic. If it ends up sucking, it ends up sucking. No offense, but that sentence is only a small description of the plot. What matters is whats in the story and how it’s delivered.

Hellboy 2 really won me over with what del Toro can do visually. Him having his hand in writing and producing this flick gives me some hope that it will be good.
