To say that it was original or authentic may be because it was not coherent or interesting. The fast cutting and poor directing really ruined this film. It's James Bond not Jason Bourne! Consider Quantum. A lot of people didn't like it, I think because it was an untypical Bond film--a modicum of action, of course, but not enough to suit them and too much self-reflection. And that's exactly why I liked it a lot. This was the first Bond where we saw something like authentic awareness of the cost of being Bond; where we were forced to consider that Bond might be a bit human after all.
