Instead of the film-makers thinking of the writing, cinematography or direction of a scene they are thinking "Gee, what if I made their arm look like it's coming out of the screen! OOOoooOOOoo" Big ****ing deal! Really- I feel sorry for anyone who falls for this marketing bull shit. It's the movie industry's equivalent of saying "OOOoo look how shiny!" Personally I think the whole 3D thing is not a gimmick- no it’s way worse than a gimmick, it’s simply a detriment to the entire film industry. LOVED the film. HATED the glasses... got accustomed to them after 10 minutes or so & the strange motion blur/focus issues seem to ease, but then left the theatre with a MASSIVE headache! So real that you would really thing hey there is action going on right in front of me. and I agree with Rodney!! Stop making those 3D INTENSION SHOTS!! I watched BEOWULF in 2D and there were these shots where his sword is very close to the camera. I knew this was specially for the 3D version but it felt sooo weird and so unnatural. NObody would take a shot like that!! 3D will really have success when you wont neeed the glasses anymore ;-) and when it becomes natural and well…. real. He has stated this publically. By then you won't need glasses. 3D will be the norm and will work by altering your visual spectrum by using digital 3D projectors and new technology... This also allows for embedding subconsious material you will not be aware Of. Sure 3D is cool when its used here and there but they want to make 3D the norm. Not just in the movies but on your IPhone, Blackberry, tv, you name it,,, its coming no matter what I type. I'm just trying to inform those that have an open mind to see the motivation behind it.
