I love the books, but when I watch the movies there always something missing, there are always lots of flaws (The Half Blood Prince in particular has lots of them), I just get to really understand the movies because I read the books. However the visual effects, the characters, the action... are great.

Snape is the Half Blood Prince because is father was a muggle and is mother a witch (half blood) and he is not really bad that's why Dumbledore trusts him, I guess you will love to read the book;) to fully understand the story.

i have never read the books, but am now promted to due to my confusion over this movie. the ending really ticked me off imparticular. during the entire series thus far, dumbledore has seemed to possess some sort of knowledge about everything that goes on. it's like you can't get anything past him.....but then at the end he says 'professor snape is the only one who can help me...go get him'.....how on earth did he not know that snape was bad? also, why is it that professor snape saw harry below and told him to shhh....but then just left him there to do whatever? from what i understand, the dark lord is all about killing harry potter.....you would think that if snape was going to go through all the trouble of killing dumbledore, he would do something about harry as well....after all, harry is there by himself with no one to come to his aid and snape is accompanied by all those other dark wizards to help him (if he needed it) take harry out. i don't get it.

HP 3D. What a rip-off. I don't know about the rest of you, but if you paid money to see the half-blood prince in 3D, then you probably felt cheated as well. They let you see all the previews in 3D and then the first 20 minutes are awesome. once Harry arrives at the Burrow, that's it. no more 3D for the rest of the entire movie. WHAT THE @#$^. I paid money to see the movie in 3D, not just 20 minutes. At least during some of the action scenes, let us put the glasses back on. the movie was ok, but it sucked when i was expecting to see the movie in 3D from start to finish. if they are going to advertise a movie in 3D, I say DO THE WHOLE STICKIN' THING!!!

I thought the movie was really good, the best Harry Potter movie yet. But after you pointed out all those things, I can understand where you're coming from.

The movie was so dark and so different from the others in the franchise. I didn't really follow or understand half of what was going on at the time but I also didn't care because there was a soul and mood so dark and interesting that pervaded nearly every scene.

I see what you mean with the pond scene. It doesn't make any sense. But, at the time, I was so drawn and pulled to the movie I didn't think about practical matters.

I didn't understand the importance of the book either or why the cabinet got so much screen time.

I'll let the flaws that you pointed out slide because the movie felt so gripping and I enjoyed it so much, even with the plot flaws.

Some critics have expressed dissent toward some of the darker tone and general brooding in these later episodes of the series. Personally, I never felt that the world of witchcraft and wizardry was all that welcoming an environment. After all, Rowling has created a universe with not only a forbidden forest, but also a restricted section in the library.

*Spoiler Alert* Wow. The Half-Blood Prince movie was a disappointment to me, compared to the book. Obviously, not all story lines can be included in movies, but it didn’t seem like the director David Yates (even though I know he did one before) had read the books, or seen the previous movies!

Why change it to Luna finding Harry on the train, instead of Tonks? No purpose. And why on earth would you do it making the wrakspurt (?) of Luna’s imagination real?? Also, leaving out conversations Harry had with Dumbledore about the possible identity of most of the horcruxes seems a crucial error for the set-up of the next story! Adding things to the story like burning the Burrow is horrendous. It would better serve the story by including more of the things that actually happened! Also, yes, Hermione, in the book, is frustrated to tears with Ron’s obtuseness, but she’s not the simpering idiot she had to portray in the movie.

I waited through the movie for at least the climactic ending but they didn’t show the battle!! Unbelievable! Maybe people who haven’t read the book will think it fine, & others may want to see it for the sake of it. I fervently hope a different crowd make the movies for the last book. Thank you.
