i saw this movie…this was the worst movie i have ever seen ! what the hell is wrong with you people?
to create a gay movie? homosexuals are the worst kind of people there is !!! except lesbians ofcourse … che che… i would give a rating to this movie 0.1 out of 10 becose i loved the scene with the frat party where the guys were having fun with women and not the freaking scene where those gays where kissing in the ring…this is stupid.if you want you can ban this comment…. but this is the worst movie i’ve ever seen.and if i were the producer of this movie i would shoot myself…

Finally I saw it. It was funny and hilarious at parts. I laughed throughout, but not always. It’s hit and miss for the first 25 minutes then it really gets going. If you can get through the first 10 minutes which is horribly unfunny. Funny as Borat? Yes and no.

6.5 out of 10. I should give it more because I really did laugh a lot.

It had some moments which were funnier than anything in Borat (the Harrison Ford gag for one I think) but it’s not as good a film. Around the 30 minute mark, the film shows it’s top and can’t summon the same laughs per minute anymore.

So many scenes after that just seem to come out of nowhere and don’t fit together. Why go to military school? Why go camping with rednecks? And why go on a talk show when there’s nothing Cohen can show us or do to get the audience riled up which we haven’t already seen on some other show before.

I don’t want to take anything away from it though. It’s still 100 times funnier than most films you’ll see.

Just for clarification Matticus, I wasn’t uncomfortable because Bruno was gay. I was uncomfortable because of the onscreen reactions to him being gay combined with the over the top caricature of what a gay man supposedly acts like.

I thought it was hilarious. People who are uncomfortable should take a deep look at their insecurities, and I believe scenes like the cagefight really brought out prejudice in people that they didn’t know they had. No one talks crap about Hugh Jackman making out with some chick in a movie, but make it two guys and all of the sudden people leave the theater.
