Surrogates Poster Online

By Rodney - July 2, 2009 - 14:22 America/Montreal

The poster for Bruce Willis’ Surrogates has hit the net.

I really like seeing Bruce in this kind of thing. The very premise of the movie (Everyone lives at home controlling a robot replacement of themselves in the real world) just means that Bruce can indiscriminately “kill” people as he would just be damaging their surrogate.

The poster looks hip, and captures that “not so distant future” feel. I am looking forward to this.

OK poster, the trailer didnt do a thing for me. Reminded me of the Matrix

  2. War-Journalist says:

I don’t like that tagline. But I’m glad to see Bruce is still at it with action movies. Or just movies in general. I agree with AARON, the poster is “okay.” It’s basically the Matrix in reverse. I might go see it.

the trailer did something for me. it made me confirm the fact that i won’t be seeing it.

one of the worst trailers I have ever seen. it looks terrible.

    I love Bruce Willis but…

    iRobot anyone?

    • Rodney says:

How is this at all like iRobot?

    • Justadude says:

I agree, the poster is in a similar style as the iRobot poster (Will Smith in the forefront with blue robots as the background and similar lighting), but I don’t think this movie will be anything like iRobot (I hope). My only concern is that this movie will be another superhero movie without superheroes. Aka. characters that can do superhuman things like jump from building to building and throw cars. Though it will make for great action sequences, there is always the fear that the movie will lose credibility and fall off the deep end. With Willis this is unlikely (again, I hope), but I also thought Smith wouldn’t lead me astray.

The poster looks almost like a exact kopie from it, bruce willis that way he stands and the color. Yhea i can see it.

Well I liked the trailer allot, but then again I did love the Matrix series and don’t mind seeing a film with a kind of reversed version of it as the plot.

Especially since it is staring Bruce Willis, cuz I’ve been wanting to see him in a sci-fi film again for a long time now. It’s also nice that it comes out a day before my b-day.

As for the poster, eh. It’s pretty boring and hardly creative at all to me, it even looks kind of photoshopped. But so do most movie posters now a days unfortunately. Also, like War-Journalist said, the tag line also just plane sucks.

    Great comic.
Which means the film will probably be awful. Thats how these things usually end up going…

  8. MrCristal says:

  9. DG Music says:

Willis is the man! John McLane in his 50’s hooray!

  10. mitch says:

the premise seems kind of similar to the avatar premise.
