The Invention Of Lying Trailer
I’m a big fan of Ricky Gervais. I think his recent movie “Ghost Town” was sorrily under-appreciated and not nearly enough people went out to see it. His various Television shows are also top notch.
Now comes his directoral debut in “The Invention Of Lying“. The premise of the film is a simple one. Imagine a world where everyone told the absolute truth all the time, and then one man discovers lying.
The cast is huge and amazing as well. Ricky Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill, Louis C.K., Christopher Guest, Tina Fey and more.
I think this actually got online a few days ago… but somehow it flew under my radar, so I present it to you now. I think this looks hilarious:

The concept, and name is really really interesting. It does have a sorta Ghost Town feel, but I got to admit I only laughed once or twice.
John, I can’t believe you forgot to mention how hot Jennifer Garner is in this trailer.

The script is pretty funny. Especially the beginning. The trailer doesn’t do it justice, so maybe they’re holding back, not showing too much. A little restraint goes a long way.

I gotta say I didn’t like Ricky Gervais’ last movie very much, Ghost Town. I might of laughed 2 or 3 times threw the whole thing and because of it I was hesitant on watching this trailer. But now I’m glad I did. I really like him as a comedian, I just found Ghost Town to be pretty boring.

hmm, interesting. Not how i imagined it at all. I don’t see why he would be so offended at what people are saying to him if people always tell the truth as this must have happened before, but then i guess this is the plot devide that leads him to lie.
