Thor is taking shape and now we get more casting news about a Thor Villain and Thor’s love interest.
Wait, wasn’t Natalie Portman cast as Thor’s love interest? Not quite. She is Dr. Donald Blake’s love interest in the film. Blake is the human persona who hosts the immortal god of Thor, and Jaimie Alexander will be playing Sif, a warrior goddess who is Thor’s only love.
Also, Colm Feore has signed on to play an unnamed villain.

In Marvel’s epic fantasy, Alexander is playing Sif, a skilled Asgardian warrior who can hold her own against any man. She also is one of Thor’s loves. Feore’s character is shrouded in mystery — the studio isn’t even sending the actors the script — though it is known to be a villain
I look forward to seeing what Alexander does with Sif, and I really like the dynamic of playing off Thor’s love interest and Blake’s when Blake and Thor house the same body.
As for Feore’s apparent Villian role, I can only think of Loki as a suitable baddie for a Thor film.
I like how this is coming along.

Im sorry, is Blake and Thor the same person in this movie? Ive yet completely understood what theyre doing with that =/
Well he cant play a physical strong villain, maybe an evil sort of smart/sophisticated bad guy. Like a Justin Hammer type villain, not a physical one like Kraven the hunter…

I hope that Surtur, Ymir or Urik are in this movie, I’ve just always found them to be the coolest Thor vilins =P
They did say that Loki unleashes some sort of hell to Earth to get Thor, so it would be cool to see those 3 emerge from Asgard into New York and see Thor duke it out with them
Also im kinda worried they have two love interests already, I do LOVE romance, but I don’t like the route theyre taking already.
I mean, its a Thor movie, lets hope that the love doesnt get in the way of Thor kicking butt.
If Colm Feore is any other character besides Loki I will be disappointed. He would of course pull Loki off brilliantly.
Exciting to hear the cast round its way out.
I don’t recall who they cast as Loki (if they did already?) but Mr. Feore would be perfect. And Ms. Alexander looks like a nice fit for Sif. Not bad.
Yes, the role of Loki has already been cast- but character actor Feore is best known for Riddick and Storm Of The Century with most genre fans, so it would have been wonderful if he was Loki. But he’s not.
Surtur, maybe…but I’m more for calling Mister Hyde Hyde would be like a Loki henchman of sorts, going after Blake’s mortal love *and* Hyde might be a character that could face off later on against SHIELD or other Avengers. Yes, the character was more of a DD foe, but he started out as a Thor one.
