Disney seemed to be lacking that sparkle of magic that Tinkerbell farts over the last decade, leaning too much on Pixar to give them street cred. Oh sure, they have had hits, but frankly their animated features haven’t exactly grabbed me since Mulan.
But wait, Disney is taking a step back and returning to its traditional animation style and offering up a feature film adaptation of The Princess and The Frog. And now you can see the full trailer here:
Holy crap! Is it 1992 again? This feels like the MAGIC that made Disney shine and I cannot wait to see this.
I haven’t been this jonesing for a Disney Animated Feature in a LONG time!

It’s about time Disney got back into the game.
Disney made animated features after Mulan?

Another good one…RODNEY!!!
Lilo and Stitch was fantastic.
I also thought Lilo & Stitch was a fantastic movie.
1. Fart jokes.
2. Shrek did it.
It looks absolutely gorgeous, no doubt about that. If it’s as good as I want it to be then they need to start screening it to people and getting a buzz going.
Terrific trailer; thanks a ton for posting this up, Rodney! With John Lasseter now supervising all of Disney Animation’s films, the studio seems to be returning to its former glory.
Personally, (and I can see myself getting mocked for saying this) my absolute favorite movie of all time is last year’s Bolt (followed closely by Pulp Fiction). Initially, I gave the film a 9/10, and the more that I watched it, the more I appreciated it. I simply can’t think of another movie (animated or otherwise) that has had such a strong, lasting effect on me. It just amazes me how Disney Animation moved from Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons to Bolt; damn. Hopefully, The Princess and the Frog manages to keep the awesomeness going.
I’m cautiously optimistic about this film, hopefully it can renew interest in 2D animation.
Holy shit I’m five again.
