Rampage Jackson might physically look the part of B.A. Baracus for the upcoming A-Team movie, but I am still hesitant that they cast a non-actor in his role. But the big question was whether Rampage would be channelling Mr.T (who’s own personality isn’t far from BA) or would he make the role his own.
Well now we get a picture of Mr Jackson in full on BA regalia, suggesting he is playing Mr.T instead of just a more relevant badass black man. I was kind of hoping to see something less characturized.
Now I just wonder if he is going to wear the obscene amount of gold chains and spout catch phrases suggesting he would have a degree of pity for fools or that rolling would be the preferred method of mobility for heads.

Rampage shows a lot of charisma in the UFC, so this should be interesting to see if he can actually act.

You know I think getting my ass handed to me by Rashad Evans wouldn’t look as pathetic as that mohawk. As a fan of MMA and UFC this truly just makes me sad. Ramapge my boy, I have truly lost faith in you. Not because you want to pursue acting or that wanted to be in the A Team I could care less about that. But to sport such a crappy mo like that and look like you’ve been dropping 3 burgers an hour down your throat! Oh woe is me. Hell Chuck Liddell is doing Dancing with that Stars and doing good on that show. What do you have to show for us Rampage? Nothing!

Where do these lofty expectations come from? The original series was all of these things. It was cheesy even for it’s time. The role of BA was made famous by a non-actor. While Mr T might have been considered cool in the 80’s, he was NEVER considered a relevant portrayal of a black man even for the time… He was just Mr T. You could not do a faithful remake and change the character of BA Baracus.

I’d rather have a “non actor” if the alternative is Ice Cube. Plus Rampage is humorous to listen to on Ultimate Fighter so I’m ok with him being cast.

okay who CARES if he’s anon actor?? Mr. T can’t act for shit. Does it really matter?? And it’s too early to judge the movie. You can’t look at one shitty picture or one GOOD picture for that matter and just KNOW what a movie is going to be like based off of that.
It matters because there are a lot of talented actors out there.
Personally, I think this movie is going to suck because they’re probably just going to rehash an old storyline from the TV show instead of making something fresh. There really isn’t much imagination in Hollywood any more, or at least they’re not showing it.
I thought Mr. T did a pretty good job in “Cloudy… Meatballs”.

First thing I would like to point out is that the picture itself looks horrible, not just the mohawk. Secondly, I would find it quite amusing if it turned the mohawk wasn’t fake; however, that is doubtful since I doubt his ability to grow hair that fast (in an unrelated note, I am sure Chuck Norris could as his hair would fear the repercussions of not doing so).
Lastly, no this shitty quality does not effect my feelings in anyway about the end product. Now if this was a sample image from the film, meaning the film is some shitty grainy quality, then I might be a little disappointed.

If I as on that darned set, I would request that Rampage take off that silly looking thing on his head and reshoot the scene or work it in a rewrite where he has to shave his head. Because that stuff ain’t working. Any hopes I had for “The A Team” just went down in a flush and swirl.
