Update: Turbo film Online for Viewing!

By Rodney - October 14, 2009 - 19:34 America/Montreal

So the other day I tripped over the trailer for a gem of a film and posted it here. It was Streetfighter meets professional gaming, and it looked like a lot of fun.

The film is called Turbo, and while it was mentioned in the comments that it wasn’t just a trailer – that was online… the whole film was. Legitmately! Its an indie film and the trailer was for the half hour short film.

And this was confirmed when Jarrett Lee Conaway, the Director of Turbo sent me an email with the link to the full flick. So here it is!

I love the 90s video game feel “in game” while the real world players trash talk it up in the heat of competition. The effects are amazing for an indie film, and I would love to see this picked up for a big budget version.

Check out the Official Turbo Website to see more.

Not bad, a little corny on some bits and reminds me of some old late 80’s early 90’s B rated action flicks. Like the special effects not bad for an indie film.

  3. Josh says:

Not bad at all. It would be interesting to see it played out on the big screen with a two hour run time.

I am digging the old school feel to the game aspect of this short. This is what I wish Gamer and the Street Fighter films were more like. This is a films that could very easily transfer over to a bigger budget feature, especially in this new generation of movie goers. There would need to be a few changes and some better writing for sure, but the premise is killer.

Seamus looks a lot like McLovin hahahah
