An R is completely unnecessary and will alienate half of their target audience.

Go into a Games Workshop store and try to count how many people there on a Saturday Afternoon playing their games is over 18?

This wont be an R, and doesn’t need to be.

If a real movie and not an animation, then please make it “R.” Violence is what defines WH40K. Also, what makes WH40K interesting is the almost insane devotion to the emperor. The writer has so much elements to work with that I am afraid that he will confuse depth with complexity.
WH40K background is very complex, but IMHO, a successful movie just needs to have depth and likable characters, which WH40K have plenty of (both).

I am excited, but I am also terrified of what will happen if this film fails. Fans will scream and shout at GW, and if the film is a 12 then I shall not buy it. Purely because there will not be enough grimness to satisfy the 40k universe. But I can’t wait to see it!

Im thinking that it will be against chaos,but it will be that or orks. I’m hoping(probably in vain)that they will fight there original enimies,the tyranids. The tyranids were always their biggist threat,and as a tyranid player,Im hoping for at least a reference.

I am actually pretty afraid of how bad the movie could potentially be. I explained the basic idea of warhammer to my wife and she though I was super dorky for having heard of them.

They when I pointed them out in a comic shop, she went nuts! She thought I was making the whole thing up.

It should be interesting to see how it is.

they should make an animated film first and that could be thier stepping stone the real thing
