New Alice in Wonderland Poster now with 100% more Alice
A couple of days ago, we got to see a new poster from Alice in Wonderland, and it was suspiciously sans Alice.
Well a new poster is finally making its rounds and it features our unwitting traveller through the looking glass.. or the big hole in the ground as it appears might be the case.

I have been more than impressed (and equally creeped out) by the impressive visuals for this film, and I expected nothing less from that twisted vortex Tim Burton calls a mind. But one thing I have yet to be impressed with is Alice herself.
Mia Wasikowska is a delightfully pretty girl, but in the few moments we have captured of her in the trailers and now finally in the poster, she just looks painfully plain. Perhaps that was intentional to contrast the wildly surreal world of Wonderland.
Perhaps once we see her really in action here, my opinion will change, but I am just not taken with this lead.
That all being said, this poster is far better than the previous ensemble characters poster which just looked awkward.

isnt that tree in the background from sleepy hollow?
Actually it has a Nightmare before Christmas feel.
She was great in the HBO series, In Treatment.
oh i didnt even know alice was in the movie the way they have been promoting it =)
Zero plus 100% is still zero.
Er, no it isn’t, man. 0+100=100.
Yea ur thinkin in multiplication dude. 0 times 100 equals 0.
No. 0 + 100% (of 0) = 0
If you have zero Alice and MULTIPLY that by 100% you still have zero.
If you have zero Alice and ADD 100% more Alice, you still have zero Alice.
But the constant Alice is 1. There is only one Alice. If you add 100% of one Alice then you have One Alice.
You are just splitting hairs and still incorrect.
Lol.
But you didn’t have ONE Alice. You had ZERO Alice. Adding 100% of zero to zero equals zero.
And even if you’re right (which you’re not). If you had ONE Alice and 100% more, then you have TWO Alice.
So either way you’re wrong.
Looks like it sort of depends upon your point of view:

Its not a “point of view”. Its math.
Andrew, your first equation is accurate and calculated properly.
The second equation clearly adds a “Multiply by 0″ to the equation to make it equal 0.
Its still math. Its not adding 100% of zero. Its adding 100% TO Zero.
0 + (100%) = 1
Cool poster. I can’t wait for this movie.
I have heard that this is the incarnation of American McGee’s Alice. Is this true? Or more of the classic interpretation?
Nope. This is classic Alice with a Tim Burton twist.
They are still planning a American McGee’s Alice movie, however it’s mostly just up in the air at the moment.
But there is another American McGee’s Alice video game in the works for 2011.
“Through the Looking Glass” is the second book about Alice, where she goes through a mirror. In “Alice and Wonderland” she does indeed fall into a hole in the ground, following the white rabbit.
I believe this poster is actually the left half of an entire spread in a magazine. Take last week’s poster and put it side by side with this one and they actually go together (I think).
Here’s that full magazine spread with both posters “connected”

I love this poster right down to the faces in the roses.
Rodney – you really should check Mia out from her episodes of In Treatment she’s quite the young actress.
This movie in general seems to have such a creepy vibe to it. Not like what I grew up watching. It’s going to be interesting to see in theatres.
Tim Burton is making a new movie nothing else matters.
She looks like her head has been pasted onto a different body.
