New Nine Trailer and Image Gallery

By Rodney - December 1, 2009 - 07:56 America/Montreal

The premise of Nine had me panting. The film is described as:

a vibrant and provocative musical following the life of world famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) as he reaches a creative and personal crisis of epic proportion, while balancing the numerous women in his life including his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), his film star muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), an American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the whore from his youth (Fergie) and his mother (Sophia Loren).

The original trailer didn’t get me by the short hairs, but this trailer does a lot more for me.

Rope of Silicon has a great gallery of stills as well.

I’m not much of musical fan, but DDL hasn’t dissapointed me yet, so I’ll most definately go see this.

Kate Hudson in a musical huh? I don’t know whether I will go see this or not, musicals aren’t really my thing. I’ll watch the occasional musical every now and then.

Probably just a rental for me.

I want to see Nine, but am I the only one who thinks its sounds a lot like 8 1/2. Don’t get me wrong I love 8 1/2 and I think thats what the director is kinda going for, but hey I could be wrong.

I think 8 1/2 is one of the best movies about making movies of ALL TIME! I’m excited to see how a movie based on a musical based on a movie about making movies works out.
