Bradley Cooper Is Face In A-Team

A-Team is going to be a very difficult project to bring to the big screen in a way that will keep most people happy. You can’t just make a movie version of the TV show. An action adventure where no one ever got shot, no one ever died, everyone got out of the exploding car just in time or parachuted out of the helicopter right before it went down. The closest thing to blood was the ketchup B.A. Baracus put on his fries and the realism stopped before the opening credits.
Yes, it was an AWESOME T.V. show, but that’s not what you can put out in theaters. They’re going to have to change it up a bit… which will probably piss off the purists. So like I said… it’s going to be a hard project to please people… but who ever said it should be easy I guess.
Anyway, some really good news came out about the upcoming A-Team movie. Bradley Cooper (who was recently named as a short list contender to play Green Lantern… a rumor he denies, but I don’t believe him) is going to play Face, which I think it a solid casting choice (if you’re not getting Dirk Benedict back that is).
This movie sounds about 10000% better already since they dropped Ice Cube as B.A. Baracus (yes… that actually was going to happen. *shiver*). (source: Fused Film)

Slightly incorrect, John : ” An action adventure where no one ever got shot…”
There was at least one episode in which one of the four main characters was, in fact, shot. In the chest. That character was Howlin’ Mad Murdock, who took a bullet for Hannibal in one of the later seasons. Granted, Murdock lived on to escape the mental ward another day, but still, he was shot.
(Bullets that ‘graze’ BA’s right bicep don’t count)
The A Team was one of my favorite shows when I was younger, I hope this is good. I don’t mind if they change things up a bit, like people actually getting shot, hurt, NOT escaping at the last minute. Just be true to the characters and the spirit of the show. But as we all sadly know, that is easier said than done (Land of The Lost?? OMG that looks like it is going to SUCK big time).
Seems like a good casting choice, he is very likable and has charm. So I am thinking he will do well in the role.
If they cast some pretty boy model as BA, I will not see this movie at theater. BA must be legit and believable. The funny thing about Mr. T is he was actually scary and funny at the same time. He brought a certain charm to the role and I hope to see that in the new film.
Maybe Micheal Clarke Duncan as B A Baracus.
I definitely agree w/ you on that.
Would he fit in the van?
Great choice though…
John should be Face
Sorry but my choice has always been Ving Rhames for BA.
I wasn’t too big on him as Green Lantern, but as Face, ABSOLUTELY! A little worried about the take on the movie, but if they can can at least keep nailing the casting, they’ll at least have a good start. Any rumor on Hannibal or anyone’s suggestions?
Everytime I see Bradley, I think about that line, “that’s what Massachusetts is all about, crabcakes and football! YEAH!” LOL!
Its interesting about the casting and I just thought of this…. the original cast were all misfits from the Vietnam War, so I am now wondering about the script.
Depending on the age of the actors chosen, what will it be now… castoffs from Desert Storm, etc?
Whoever is BA, they should do as Chris Pine did for Kirk, and not use the quirks and mannerisms of the original actor. Both Shatner and Mr.T are bigger real life characters than their TV ones.
If Ving Rhames was BA, how about Bruce Willis as Hannibal?
for Murdock…
Danny McBride…
And for the person talking about Land of the Lost, how can you even take that seriously. The show wasn’t serious, it was all tongue in cheek, I suspect you may be too young to remember the original. It won’t be an art film, but it should still be a fun day at the movies.
Crispin Glover for Murdoc? Too obvious?
