Spoof films have their place, and they can be good. Brooks makes brillian Spoof films. But the current trend is to confuse spoof with potty humour and fart jokes. There is no reason Spoofs can't be good, they just haven't been able to prove that lately.

I am sorry, Space Balls was OKAY. Airplane was good. thats it. I consider spoofs to be unimaginative and uncrettive. Theyre just so dumb. Make an original comedy.

Airplane wasn't original, but you managed to find humour and enjoyment in that. I just find it odd that you say they ALWAYS fail and preach against their lack of originality but still managed to like one. They are VERY imaginative and VERY creative to come up with clever jokes based on familiar genres and franchises. You telling me that you never made a joke based on something you saw in a movie, or a pun based on a character's name? How about looking forward to a sequel. How unoriginal is that? Spoof movies, just like ANY movie has the potential to be good and entertain. There are a LOT of spoof movies that I just love and find very entertaining, however the latest "(Genre) Movie" trend I have not cared for. Not because they are spoofs, but because they are not clever at all. In "Not Another Teen Movie" I loved the token black kid who said nothing but catch phrases, and I loved bits like in a movie spoofing teen movies from 16 Candles right up to She's All That the cafeteria is called the Anthony Michael Hall. That made me smile. The rest of the movie I could do without but it had its moments.

Oh really Rodney? Because all this website does is say that "ALL VIDEO GAME MOVIES SUCK" (which I agree with 100% by the way, but still) In my opinion, Spoof movies ALL MUST suck. Airplane is a miracle, Jesus wanted to fuck with us and sent us the biggest mindfuck he could, a good spoof movie. I just personally hate spoof movies, just hearing "spoof" makes me want to punch a baby in the vagina Spoof movies where kinda cleverish, but once they started making more then 3 of them, it got old QUICKLY. But this is just my opinion Rod, is totally cool to like spoofs, its just a movie.... but in my rrelevant opinion: Spoof movies by law, suck unless that movie is called Airplane

Whereas this site claims all Video Game Movies suck, we have financial and critical evidence to back that blanket statement up, where you claim that all Spoof movies suck (which I concede where the title contains the genre followed by the word movie) while there is imperical data that suggests otherwise. See, there is a difference. Again, I didn't say you had to like them, however building an argument around absolutes when you dont even have generalizations to back them up. Your opinion stands, I just can't stand behind your reasoning.

My reasoning is sound: If there is a spoof movie NOT named Airplane, it sucks. Spoofs are good once, but you cant overdo them.

I don't see how this sounds like "Dance Flick" at all. It sounds like a spoof synopsis, which you already indicated you can appreciate.

Rodney I want you to send me a link, and quote me saying "Ripping on movies is not funny" or any sentence that ultimately means that making fun of movies isnt funny. Spoof movies are retarded, period. Riftraxing is funny as SHIT. Riftrax doenst make movies that spoof other movies. All they do is comment on the movie while it plays, AND ITS MAJESTIC I am 100% sure that if riftrax makes a spoof movie it will SUCK. Yes but Rifftrax is not a movie and Airplane was something that came out of the Virgin Mary's vagina. Two holy exceptions. It will never happen again, the humor that they used back then when Airplane was released will never come back . Movie Studios know that if they make a movie with decent humor itll fail, so theyll make movies with stupid jokes like Epic Movie because thats what stupid teenagers want to see. Or with characters fucking named Belle Goose (Fml)
